I wouldn’t send a stray dog there. The first 6 years were great there. They have a skeleton staff. I know one wing has NOT ONE AIDE ON THE HALL. They deliver their meals and walk out. About a month before my loved one passed she had HORRIBLE multiple bruises. Bruises that the hospice RN and I agreed had to have been inflicted upon her by another person. I was told she “ate every bite “ of her meals even when she couldn’t open her eyes or mouth and she was turning into skin and bones

My loved one was staying here while recovering from surgery. The place is being renovated and things are sitting all over the place. It was loud. The place smelled strongly of urine. There was no one stationed to do covid checks, so we had to ring the bell multiple times. My loved one did feel the workers were kind and helpful. I would imagine this environment would be difficult to work in, so it was nice to know the patients were still treated well by staff. Once renovation is finished, I believe it will be a nice place. My loved one has many health issues, so I was thrilled she received the help she deserved to become more mobile and self-reliant. My 4 stars are due to staff doing a great job with patients in a difficult environment, but I couldn't give it a 5 star rating because the place is so torn up inside. I felt it should have closed down while being renovated.

My Father has lived at Rambling Oaks for two and a half years. His time there has provided him with a safe, clean, and happy environment. The many activities that are available give him choices to be highly active. Exercise class is a favorite for many of the residents. Weekly trips out to eat and shop are available. The building itself is well maintained both by housekeeping and maintenance. The Chef prepares many choices of all kinds of foods daily. Rambling Oaks works very hard to keep the family interactions strong through celebrations, dinners, and other in house activities. The staff is eager to help with whatever you may need. The in house beauty shop is a great asset to the community.

My parents moved into Rambling Oaks about 3 weeks ago. We chose this facility because of the spaciousness of the facility, including their apartment, and because they have their own private access to a patio and courtyard. Also, it was less expensive than other places we’d looked at in the area while being much nicer. The decor of the facility is uplifting, like a nicely decorated home. The staff is friendly and goes the “extra mile.” Everything is super clean. The availability of wheel-chair accessible transportation is a plus. They are very encouraging of family participation and even provide special dinners at holidays to which family members are invited to eat for free. They frequently have live music which the residents enjoy and have weekly fun activities. They also have outings to restaurants and other places of entertainment. Residents are even allowed to have a small pet. We are glad we found Rambling Oaks.

It's very pleasing to me to know that my mother is living here with caring people available to assist her. She has the privacy of her own room with her own furnishings and her own bathroom with shower. We are happy to have her living at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living. It's reassuring to know she's in a safe place with caring staff. Everyone does a wonderful job!
