RESIDENCE AT OAK GROVE, THE

I have been a resident here at oak grove for the last year since that time there have been multiple changes in the exclusive director position as well as other various administrative staff and employee positions. Consequently there was an uncomfortable measure of instability as oak grove tried to keep a float. I have found our current executive director, Cynthia swaim, to be a professional, knowledgeable leader, a problem solver, & not afraid to make necessary recommendations and tuff decisions. Her number one priority at all times is the safety and welfare of this community; and making oak grove our home and a family. She also makes each one of us feel valued, loved, and confident we are headed in the right direction. Cynthia is a kind, friendly, compassionate, and dedicated individual who is not afraid to pitch in and help wherever is needed no matter the task. Cynthia is a blessing to me and this community.

Great staff and very reasonably priced!!! My mother has thrived in this facility. The facility is clean and the plus to this facility is that management is always accessible and working throughout the building. If you want a place as close to home for your loved one I would recommend The Residence at Oak Grove

This used to be such a nice place! The problem is, they’ve gone through what, six administrators in the past two years? Now they’ve promoted the Business Office manager that was fired from her last two facilities and got run out of Florida and up to Georgia! If she can’t do the Business Office job, how is she going to run a whole facility? She has no sales skills and no nursing skills and NO PEOPLE SKILLS whatsoever! Isn’t that what we pay for? Care? How can you hire somebody that doesn’t clinically know anything about it? The only thing she worries about is her make up, her clothes And multiple chain smoking Cigarette breaks! My mom was in her last facility, and she had the account so messed up the entire time she was there, me and another family ended up moving our loved ones out. Not only could she not get the account straight, she was rude to us while trying to do it! Then they were cited and fined by the state because she couldn’t even handle the files or our accounting correctly! You’ve gone out of the Frying pan and into the fire, Residence! If I could give you zero stars I would! You need to hire somebody with experience in ACTUALLY RUNNING a community, that has people skills first and foremost, and doesn’t think/act they’re better than everybody else! We are the families that pay for these places to run and run correctly with experience leaders! Very disappointing. Hope you saved a lot of money, because you get what you pay for!

We could not be happier with The Residence at the Oak Grove. Our mother is very content and happy with facility.

This facility provides the utmost care for its residents. They have lots of family inclusive activities and events, and ensure residents are staying active. The staff here is very caring and looks out for my loved ones, as well as communicates often with me about their well-being. The grounds themselves are beautiful; like a 5 star hotel. Highly recommend for anyone looking for assisted living/memory care.
