Residence of Summer Street is a wonderful place to age. Its located in the heart of Stamford, with easy access to all that Stamford has downtown has to offer. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful, and they are wonderful partners with many of the resources in the community to help support families with any needs that may arise. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit them I suggest you do.

The facility is always clean and plush and has a welcoming atmosphere. The receptionists, driver, associates and other staff members are friendly and very helpful and seem to be engaged in the safety and comfort of the residents. The food is fabulous. Their transportation to medical appointments and shopping is reliable.

We are in the process of evaluating senior living options for my parents and The Residence at Summer Street stood out and remains at the top of our list. I randomly walked in for a tour as we feel this unannounced approach gives us a great sense and everyday feel for a community. After a warm, friendly welcome from the staff as well as a few residents in the lobby and social areas, the positive experience continued as I received a tour led by The Residence’s Executive Director. Dawn left no stone unturned and her deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for senior living and the overall operations were evidenced throughout the tour, including knowing the residents and their family members visiting on a first name and personal basis. It was encouraging to see this level of hands-on, personable and genuine care and attention to details, especially from the company’s leadership. By the end of the tour most, if not all my questions were answered before I could ask and I walked away feeling very confident that not only would my parents’ immediate needs be taken care of but that the community and care would be a fit long-term. This stage in our lives is very challenging for all involved and presents difficult decisions; it was a relief to walk away from that experience with greater confidence!

I can’t say enough about The Residence at Summer Street. My mother was a resident in Memory Care for 15 months. Dawn and Trayvon were a big part of her transitioning so smoothly. Dawn interacts on a regular basis with the residents and their families. The staff is amazing. They really knew my mother. I witnessed first hand the way they treated my mother with dignity right up to the very end. I highly recommend The Residence at Summer Street. Allison Keating
