Somerfield at the Heritage

I wanted to follow-up with a huge thank you to the entire staff at Somerfield. My healing could never have progressed so well if I had been anywhere other than Somerfield. The chef prepared meals were excellent, along the most gracious and courteous staff. Everyone - - the nurses, the dining staff, the assistants, the physical therapy, the meals and the overall atmosphere was over the top. Everyone was most kind and understanding. I wish I knew everyone's name but I don't. The people at Physical Therapy, the assistants who helped me with my care were beyond terrific, and a huge thank you to most special nurses Jonathan, Chelsea and others. My recovery was marvelous. I am so very grateful.

I cannot share all of the extremely positive elements of the Somerfield team. I had the family responsibility of finding a facility for the long-term care of this person. During this process we experienced other facilities in our search, nothing compares to the quality of their patient centered care, their commitment to my family member as he confronts life's challenges in his 80's, the depth of their professional resources from medical to social services to mental health, and knowing that I can "trust" them. Somerfield is a very special place for the care of someone you love.

Somerfield is a wonderful facility! The nursing staff there truly cares for their patients, and the activities team goes above and beyond to show compassion and support. My parents will never go anywhere else, because Somerfield is the best care I can provide to them!

The nursing and therapy care, professional environment, meals and attention to detail my Mother received at Somerfield at the Heritage after a hip fracture was outstanding. In addition to getting her back on her feet after the fracture, they addressed her overall health needs so that she was stronger and more independent when she left than before the fall. I highly recommend this facility.

Our time at Somerfield was not a trip we were expecting as a family. My mom was admitted after suffering a MASSIVE stroke. It was a miracle that she was alive. We (as a family) chose Somerfield because we knew mom needed to be in a facility that felt like Home. Wow, home is where we landed. I have never met a group of people who loved on mom and served mom like she was their own until we arrived at Somerfield. They allowed us (as a family) to be hands on during rehab and speech therapy so that when it came time for mom to go home we would be well educated and ready to help her in the healing process. They met us with grace, compassion and love (which was exactly what our souls needed) and for that I am very grateful. So if you are looking for a place to not only help your loved one during a difficult time but to love you and your entire family, well this is your place to go. I would encourage you to ask yourself what exactly are you looking for in a facility. For our family THIS was the place where God led us. THIS was the place that God used to not only bring healing to moms life but to our entire families hearts. A massive stoke is not something that one can plan on so when the unexpected happens your body, mind and soul gets exhausted really quick. Somerfield was a place of rest for us all and a place of great healing for my mom and for that I am thankful.
