I am a healthcare account representative that calls on this community consistently, and I have been impressed with the intimate, first name basis, setting also the kindness and warmth of the staff and the way the community is nestled on the property with a beautiful lake view! This is somewhere I would enjoy living myself in a few years!

I never knew this place existed until I started working with a local healthcare company, so you can’t miss what you don’t have right? Wasn’t I wrong! This place is great! They have small ratios, great staff, and they recently remodeled so a beautiful interior. LaRay the director does an awesome job and is easy to get ahold of and the staff members (I don’t remember all their names) are always attentive! I definitely recommend Lighthouse and support everything they do!

My grandmother moved here in late 2019 after many years of independence. The staff made the transition extremely smooth, and even after Covid happened, they have worked diligently to make a difficult situation as easy to handle as possible. They have continued to find ways to keep my grandmother and the residents engaged but safe in the midst of this. I can honestly say that, since her arrival there, my grandmother has come out of a shell that she didn't even know she was in! The staff makes sure that she tries to stay active, and she also gets nutritious meals as well as special treats at her request. They keep her engaged to help with her memory, and - besides her blood relations - she has told me often that she truly feels loved and part of a bigger family there. Everyone I have met takes such a special interest in making sure their residents and family members are at ease. Having had a little prior experience, I so very much wish that more facilities were like this, and available to families in need. I don't know what we would have done without the care, compassion, and expertise that we have been blessed to find at Southern Haven of Dalton. MOST importantly, my grandmother truly feels like she is at home. A special thank you and shout-out to Dustin, Ellis, Annette, and SO many others who contribute to making this a time full of GOOD memories and lots of love.

I am so thankful my mom is at Southern Haven. The personal care and attention is excellent. The staff members go over and beyond to make sure each resident is loved and cared for according to their individual needs. They create a family, friendly atmosphere for everyone. I highly recommend Southern Haven, the management and staff have been a true blessing to our family!

Southern Haven was the perfect place for my 97-year-old mother to live. The owner, Sophie, has created a safe, comfortable, and compassionate environment for the residents. Southern Haven does not feel like a facility…it feels like a home, with a wonderful family atmosphere. The staff is caring, responsive, and affectionate. They treat the residents with dignity, and safety is of the utmost importance. Communication with the resident’s family is prompt when a need arises. My father-in-law has just moved into Southern Haven and loves it. Sophie and the staff have done so much to welcome him and make him feel comfortable in a new environment. I am most grateful to Sophie and all the caregivers at Southern Haven!
