ST. MARY'S VILLA RESIDENCE

Love some of the staff, however: my room has not been cleaned at all in over a week, bathroom there’s no telling, it’s filthy! No one kniws who to talk to about anything! My roommate is 99 years old and I’ve fussed at a coupke of Aide’s in the last couple of weeks anout be disrespectful. If there was no one in here with her i cringe to think! We turn on the “Help” light and the majority of the time if it gets answered at all its an hour!

my mother has been living permanently at St. Marys Villa residence since March 16 of this year. She has experienced a very welcoming atmosphere and a very caring staff. There are many activities for her to do every day and delicious meals served to her in a very nice dining room. When we were looking for respite care for the past two years for my mother, this was the place we chose. So naturally when it was time to find her a home that she could age in with staff to support her we chose St. Marys Villa residence.

This is a long overdue review.... My mom was in the wonderful care of St. Mary's this past Fall. I cannot say enough good about this facility. They treated my mom with compassion, from the administrative staff to the skilled nurses and their nurses aides. The physical therapy department was wonderful as well, not just with mom, but with me and my family who had numerous questions about her treatment plan; they also were fantastic with providing me with mom's progress. The nurses and aides were also fantastic with me and all my questions along the way. Upon check-in, there was a very long delay with transferring prescriptions from the hospital to the facility, however it was not St. Mary's fault. It was the middle-man vendor (pharmacy) that was the issue, and in my opinion, the communication needs to be vastly improved with the transfer in med process. The long delay in getting critical medications to the patients upon transfer can be detrimental. To reiterate, this was NOT St. Mary's fault, and the night time nursing supervisor was fantastic in following-up with me after medications were transferred accordingly. Lastly, the administrative staff was very attentive from the time I inquired about the facility, to time of admission, to the time mom was in their care, to when the time came for discussions about mom's discharge. Mom was actually getting sad the day before discharge and we think she wanted to stay! To me, that speaks volumes (most patients want to get home asap (my mom included). Extending a thank you to the chef and kitchen staff who were great if there was something mom did not like on the food menu. Overall, I would highly recommend St Mary's Villa. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone at St. Mary's Villa! Nurse Amanda was exceptional and her aides were too, including Sara, and another aide who worked with Amanda on the night shift and her name escapes me; hugs to all 3 of you!!

I wanted to share my experience with St. Mary’s Villa because of the process I went through when I was trying to decide whether or not to place my parent. Compared to my experience with other nursing homes and rehab facilities in the area, St. Mary’s far surpassed them. Every single person I interacted with was professional, compassionate, supportive, and treated my mom like their own family. They gave her a place to be comfortable at the end of her life. And I found support from St. Mary’s as a caregiver and daughter. The decision to move a loved one to a nursing home is never easy or desired. But I would not have chosen a different place.

My sister in law was a resident here and has just passed away. This place..the nurses, aides, social workers were just amazing. They were compassionate, caring, loving and right up until the end showed a high level of professionalism. They made sure her comfort level was the highest priority at the end and for that the family is so thankful.
