My mother resides here. It would be nice if each room had a white board to identify preferences of each of the residents. That way traveling nurses/aides aren't always asking the residents what they prefer. Loads of reasons to have a preferences board for each room. I won't list them all here.

Getting to the Western Home was no big deal using Google maps, however, once you find the Western Home going to the right building is a different story entirely. I called the Western Home in advance but they seemed to have trouble directing me to what building I was trying to find. Because there are approximately 5 or more Western Home buildings there I had to call back a few times. It was bitter cold out the day I went & due to covid-19 they instructed me I had to leave the items I was dropping off at the door. What door? Where? With enough persistence I found the correct door, I think. But then if you're dropping off liquids who wants to leave them at the door? They could freeze & break open. They had sufficient signs up saying they didn't want anybody coming in. The only door available for me had their same cautionary get out of here signs but oddly didn't have anybody posted anywhere around it at the decontamination table which seemed to be there for just such an occasion. Decided not to press my luck so left the items at that doorway & got on out of there. Takeaway being they could improve their staffs ability to direct people where to go (perhaps painting their many & not numbered bldgs different colors so they stand out) or put clear signs which would identify the building without having to get out of the car & walk up to the building to read them. This journey to the Western Home was over a week ago & as you can tell, I haven't lost my frustration over it yet.
