If you have a loved one who needs extra love and care, I highly recommend Stonehenge Senior Living. My mother was in building one, and from the moment she arrived, it truly felt like home, not just for her, but for our entire family. The love, compassion, and dedication shown by the staff over the past three years has been beyond anything I could have hoped for. As I sit here watching my mom’s final moments, I know in my heart that we couldn’t have made it through this journey without the incredible support of the Stonehenge team. They became part of our family, and I will be forever grateful.

The owners of Stonehenge Senior Living, Mitch and Linda, care deeply about seniors and their quality of life. Their son, Russell, is also often on site to assist. My loved one has been living in the mountains at Stonehenge Senior Living in Blairsville, Georgia for over two years. The facility is clean. Each staff member cares about each resident. They are diligent with medications. The staff, especially Tonja and Nicole, are also, good at communicating with me regarding any issues that arise with my loved one. My loved one's clothes have never once “gone missing” in the wash. (Another facility my loved one was briefly in lost almost every piece of clothing owned.) Along with a door to the room from the interior of the building where residents walk out to attend lunch, movies, and other activities, they also have their own “back door” to the grounds to enter and exit the room. This is not a common find. Each room in Building 5 has its own thermostat . Not all facilities provide this luxury. Daily activities ;such as Bingo, Karaoke, Movies, Pool parties and a fourth of July fireworks show that would impress even the most discriminating fireworks aficionados are offered. Especially in building #5, I highly recommend Stonehenge Senior Living. The freshly manicured and mulched gardens at Stonehenge offer the best of the mountains. I am grateful to Mitch and Linda for making this beautiful property available to seniors whom need some assistance with their daily care.

Eight weeks ago, my mother hated the idea of living in an assisted living facility. Today we can't get her to leave and come home for a visit. Our experience with the loving folks at Stonehenge Senior Living has been excellent. The employees are all well trained and genuinely caring individuals. The facility is always remarkably clean and the food is great. I would highly recommend Stonehenge Senior Living!

The staff is extremely friendly, always greeted with smiles and laughter. If anyone says differently, they are lying/wrong. I know in my moms review she wrote the review due to her anger which is a shame. She didn't get to spend time there because she was being asked to leave or escorted off the property. From my experience with my dad, the rooms are bright and well taken care of with laundry for the residents and bedding done daily on site. Each house has it's own services from laundry/cleaning/cooking and resident care. They even have a beauty shop (room) on site for hair care. I was so happy knowing my dad was getting the proper medications. They have a service that will package/dispense the medications twice daily to each resident. Proper medication care was lacking prior to his arrival. The staff cared for my dad like family. There was always a hot meal 3 times a day. My dad loved his breakfasts, he always thought it was the best meal of the day. The location being between Murphy and Blairsville is convenient as well. I was visiting my dad every couple of days while he was there. I would recommend Stonehenge. There are places to sit everywhere from out front under the covered porch area or the residents are welcome to sit patio furniture out on the wrap around deck. While visiting my dad there, I had the chance to meet some of the other residents. Some of them are very interesting to talk to and have some funny stories. The ages range from 55 to some over 100 years old and Stonehenge does everything from basics to bringing in hospice. There is a pool there but my dad didn't get to experience that during his stay there unfortunately. Is Stonehenge perfect, nope, but I don't know of any that are and not sure why someone would bash the place unless they didn't spend much time there.

I moved my 90 year old mother into the facility mid January 2022. She has Parkinson's and the resultant limited mobility. She uses a small scooter to get around. The staff could not be more accommodating and helpful. They are very attentive and look out for her best interest continually. She has made a number of new friends and enjoys visiting with them. The crafts and other activities are great and there when she wishes to participate. She truly is glad she moved in, which was a concern of mine at first. Given she had to move out of her home as she could not live by herself anymore and did not want to be a burden to me. So I am truly pleased she loves the place and is happy she made the move, as I am.
