Whatever you do, Please Please Please Believe the reviews regarding bedbugs, the nasty staff members, the smell of the facility, trust I tried to overlook them(Reviews) which I really wish my family and I would have never done. The 5stars reviews are FAKE! Let’s start with the staff, everyone is extremely nice while collecting the very first payment, once your loved ones has moved in, the REAL SUMMERSET is presented to you. The Owners son Mack Jr is the worst person to try to handle business with. The owner takes up for him and no one takes accountability for nothing. It’s no reason for Mack Jr to be so rude and nasty towards woman, but he is extremely nice towards men when he speaks to them. I have never seen him being rude to a man. They are literally in it for the money. My family decided to move my grandmother here in April of 2025, let’s just say we moved her back out by October 2025. Best thing we could have ever done. This facility does have bedbugs, we took my grandmother to the doctor because she had bites/marks on her neck, the doctor confirmed it’s bedbugs, We were told by Summerset staff(Mack Jr) the Dr is lying. It’s molded and the smell of mildew(It’s in the air) is just horrible, along with when you walk in the facility your nose is instantly hit with a horrible urine smell mixed with the smell of mildew. Not to mention the old furniture(Needs to be thrown out, the residents has sat on the furniture so much with wet urine clothes it’s ridiculous) and the old carpet(which needs to be taken up by the way) looks extremely dirty. I often visited my Grandmother and the days I stopped by her bed were soaked in urine, as well as my grandmother. My grandmother was soaked in wet clothes so bad from urine, you would think she had the clothes on all day. The residents walk around all day in wet urine clothes, the staff is very quick to say your love one will not allow them to help. Which is an excuse for not doing their jobs. During the visits, I also notice my grandmother medicine on the floor, in the trash, or she just didn’t take her meds that day, which was pretty often. I notice my grandmother clothes were left in the washer for a week, until I got her clothes out myself. My grandmother had two different rooms here and they both flooded. Her brand new bedroom suit is ruin, of course Summerset will not take an accountability for it. Summerset is old and out dated needs a major upgrade. Your loved ones deserve so much better than this facility

Summerset Assisted Living Community is a wonderful place for any aging parent or senior. Conveniently located in our local Southwest community just off Fairburn Road, it provides excellent care and a welcoming environment. My mother stayed at the facility for several years when she required long-term care, and the staff took exceptional care of her when our family could no longer meet her medical needs at home. The facility was always clean, the staff consistently friendly, and the security impressive. Just like every Long Term Care facility, your presence with your loved one is always appreciated, to assure the daily needs of your loved one is being met, and to keep everyone on the same page to continue providing the excellent care Summerset is known for. Some standout features of Summerset include its specialized Memory Care Unit and the Adult Day Care Services offered both to residents and local seniors. The owner, Mack Willis, recently helped my family access veteran assistance programs that will cover the daily costs of Adult Day Care for several days a week. He was even kind enough to assist with questions I had on the application. Their program offers daily devotionals, arts and crafts, and fun activities such as puzzles and bingo—favorites among many seniors. They also provide three nutritious meals a day for participants. I highly recommend giving them a call—Summerset truly is a great place for seniors to be!

Urgent Warning – Avoid This Facility I’m writing to share a deeply troubling experience regarding my mother-in-law’s stay at this facility. Her treatment was unacceptable and distressing from start to finish. - The staff appeared undertrained and consistently unprofessional. - We encountered issue after issue, with no resolution or accountability. - Most alarmingly, she suffered bed bug bites during her stay—an appalling breach of basic care standards. I strongly urge others to stay away from this facility until serious improvements are made. Families deserve better.

My very alert 100 year old mother went to Summerset July 2025.  My mother and our family are very impressed with the friendly attentive staff. Summerset is extremely clean. The meals are excellent; and there are plenty of entertainment and exercise activities for the residents.  My mother's medication is always administered in a timely manner.  I highly recommend Summerset.
