Summit Pointe Senior Living Community

I am writing this review as a daughter of a current independent renter, my mom, at Summit Pointe Senior Living, and have been very impressed with the facilities. My mom is in a spacious one bedroom, with full kitchen and laundry room apartment. She’s needed limited maintenance help, plus they will hang any pictures she wants. The staff has been great. We met Kayla a couple of times and she was able to answer any questions we had. I and my siblings have dined with mom on several occasions—lunch or dinner and it was good. One can even order off the menu if one doesn’t’ want the entrée provided for that day. I am impressed the wait staff knows my mom by name. The monthly activity calendar is jam-packed with social and educational events. My mom attends bingo, rosary, music entertainers and of course, the happy hour every Friday. My mom doesn’t want to miss a thing! The monthly rent is reasonable and includes all three meals, all activities, arm alert and housekeeping for her apartment once a week. We (my siblings) find it’s a great value. Overall, we are very happy with or choice. Summit Pointe offers a friendly, active environment and the staff truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home.

Summit Pointe has been a life saver for my ex-stepmother. We were thrown into helping her when she had serious medical issues. Kayla was my angel in disguise with helping us with a room, furnishings and taking on her medical issues. With us being the closest relatives we had to help her. Summit point helped us to help her since we had to start with basically nothing, as her house was no longer an option or using anything in it. Linda has adjusted well and we are thankful.

My grandpa called Summit Pointe home for 5 years. He stayed busy with a variety of activities and entertainment! Being in a social atmosphere instead of being home alone did volumes for him. It was comforting to have nursing staff available to support him as he went thru changes, all the while staying in the same room. Staff treated him like a true friend, he had private jokes with all of them. I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

My mom lived at Summit Pointe for 4 plus years. I have nothing but good to say about the amazing staff that work there. I could see the love my mom had for the staff and that the staff loved my mom! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for both the residents and their family members. Summit has started offering support classes not only for residents and their families, but the community as well. My mom started in assisted living and transitioned to memory care. She enjoyed the entire Summit Pointe environment! She always love the activities, staff and food! Thank you for all of your love! I would recommend Summit to anyone!

I love Summit Pointe! Mom has lived here for four years. As you can imagine, going through the pandemic shortly after she moved in.was something we never expected. Let me tell you that all the staff took such great care of her! The nursing staff and RA’s take great care of mom. They’re are always willing to help with her ever changing needs. Now that things are back to normal the activities have been so much fun! From the ice cream socials, corn day, Easter celebration and the amazing Christmas party the fun never stops. Let’s not forget about the weekly bingo games, movies, Iowa sports parties and the musical guests that preform it really creates one huge extend family atmosphere! Also mom loves the food (as do I when I have time to eat with her) and let’s not forget about the amazing desserts! The culinary team really knows how to make the tenants happy! Definitely a well run living facility! Keep up the fantastic work!
