Sunrise of Buffalo Grove

My mom has just hit her one year anniversary at sunrise of Buffalo grove. The staff provides such a great community - their kindness, caring and patience creates a strong community. All areas are five stars and it is driven by the people - all levels care about residents. My family is grateful for finding sunrise of BG and that it has been a successful transition for my mom. It’s the people that sets them apart from others. They are the REAL DEAL!

After about 7-8 years of grandparents living here, I must say I have never seen and felt so secure and such a nice feeling of security leaving my loved ones here. Ana Gonzales (i believe her name is) from the Memory Care Unit is an angel. She is so sweet and my grandfather loved her so much and she had such a beautiful relationship with him. Jojo also is one of the best parts of being there !! Such a cute pup. Thank you for your services Sunrise.

My Mother in Law resides in this facility where she has been living for a few years. The staff is always so helpful with residents and guests alike. My Mother in Law is always so happy and upbeat. We love the community dog Jo Jo who is always there to greet us and walk us up to see my Mother in Law. We always look forward to our visits. The other residents seem to be happy and content as well. I manage a senior living community in Arlington Heights with 750 residents so I know when residents are happy. I would highly recommend this community for anyone who needs advanced nursing care or memory care.

My mother lived at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove for almost 2 years. It was her final move and she was on the Reminisence (Memory) floor. Our family was very grateful to find such a beautiful and caring environment for our mother to be safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Our expectations were exceeded as our mom declined. The staff really knows how to care for people with memory loss and all that goes with this. I felt like my mom was treated very respectfully and the staff really cares about their residents. It was a total team effort to communicate with us, Sunrise, and eventually Hospice Care on a regular basis. Our family visited a lot, so we saw how Sunrise became "home" for mom. We felt good about visiting, but most importantly, felt good when we were away to know that mom was getting great care. Mom was able to spend her last days at "home" in the comfort of her own room with the coordination of Sunrise and Hospice. She was comfortable and peaceful. I would recommend Sunrise of Buffalo Grove to anyone - the Assisted Living floor is great too. Lots of activities, lovely dining area, and the staff is just amazing! Our family got a lot of support from the Sunrise team and mom was content. Her favorite activity was the sing a longs that they would have frequently.

Speaking with the staff, they are sincere and not trying to sell you something. What a great (different) experience this was. Also, the entire staff are employees not contractors, so you get to know them and they get to know you (on a personal level). The meals are prepared warm, there are a number of in house as well as external activities / trips scheduled on a daily / weekly basis. I did a lot of research before deciding on Sunrise and my mother, who I placed here, keeps telling what a great place I selected for her. Thank you to the entire team at Sunrise for taking such good care of my mom!
