Sunrise of Gurnee

Place is nice but overpriced. Family came to tour here and staff seemed to be overwhelmed and overworked. The food is the same for lunch and dinner, only one meal is different. Please respond here and not say to reach out to you through email.

Place is great but way over priced and staff is underpaid. The head cook here seems to cut corners and give ridiculous food. Care givers seem to be overworked and stressed out.

The food is worse than cafeteria quality. It's all frozen and reheated despite how expensive the rent is. The only fruit the residents get is cantaloupe, canned peaches, and canned pineapple. The head chef cuts corners and speaks rudely to employees and does not care about resident satisfaction

Wonderful facility! Caring, kind, compassionate staff at all levels. Fabulous food with lots of options. Fun activities offered everyday all day long……exercise class, walking club, word games, musical entertainment, movies, holiday celebrations. Resident dog, loved by many. Special care shown to each resident giving them purpose and passion for the community in which they live. So grateful for Sunrise Gurnee! I have 2 family members living there.

Sunrise of Gurnee was home for two of our family members in their final years. For eight years we visited on a daily basis and found the quality of care consistently outstanding for all the residents with whom we came in contact. The staff was always responsive to our concerns/requests. They provided a stimulating and caring environment, and made safety and protocol adherence top priorities. We highly recommend this facility!
