SUNRISE OF NEWTOWN SQUARE

My grandmother has been staying here for at least a year now. She had to move from the first floor to the memory care unit on the third floor since she has dementia and she broke her hip. Initially we found that the care on the third floor was worse than the care received on the first floor. We often found my grandmother’s room to be messy and dirty. Initially some of the staff seemed less attentive. We recently discussed our concerns with the executive director. I think that things have improved since then. I think my grandmother is receiving better care and more attention. Also her room appears to be less messy and dirty. I hope that things continue to improve.

Last night I was walking into acme when I saw a gentleman walk out with a Sunrise name tag. Due to my father becoming more ill & declining, I asked if he had a second. He was extremely pleasant and took the time to explain the process and how Sunrise is the right choice. Damien showed me some pictures of the Newtown Square location, and it is gorgeous, especially the back court yard. Unfortunately, we are looking in southern Delaware, he even took the time to inform me of the location in Wilmington and that there are some in Maryland. I have only positive things to say as Damien & his wife patiently answered all my questions & was extremely understanding and patient with me standing outside an acme.

As a Care Taker and Home Health Aid, it’s common to have questions as every individual has specific needs. Sunrise certainly seems to have the perfect facility for any senior. Damien answered my call, gave me a verbal tour and when I looked up the facility later on, his explanation perfectly matched everything on the website. His friendly voice was also a reassurance that those I care for would absolutely feel comfortable at Sunrise. Thank you Damien!

I attended the MLHS health fair symposium for aging today and was greeted by a gentleman who was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, named Damien. He answered all of my questions about the differences between Assisted Living and Memory Care, which is extremely helpful as my parents begin to slow down. I will definitely be considering this Sunrise community in the future!

My Husband works as a home health aid and so we wanted to get in contact with someone who knows the ins and outs of Sunrise. A very friendly person named Damien greeted us on the phone and answered our questions perfectly. Thank you Damien!
