THE ADDISON OF MOOREHEAD PLACE

I contacted The Addison of Moorehead on a whim for my grandparents after my son helped with a project there for the Boy Scouts. I fell in love with the beautiful courtyard and living room at first sight, and I just knew it was the perfect place for my grandparents to live out their next chapter. Bethany was amazing - she answered my incessant list of questions via call and text and helped us so much with the transition. My Grandpa was in love with the community the second he saw it; my grandma took more convincing to move to the next chapter - but all the staff was incredibly helpful and empathetic with us during the transition. After a couple weeks, my grandma was absolutely in love, and now, 9 months later, she tells me daily that there couldn’t be a better place to live. The relatively small number of residents allows for a personal relationship between staff and residents, and I truly trust that they care about her well being, quality of life, and dignity, not just basic care needs. She absolutely loves the meals, and the activities are a very important and enriching part of her daily life. The staff makes life so fun there. I love the other residents that live there, and I feel so thankful that my Grandma gets to be around such great people. My Grandpa passed away a few months after they moved in, but they made sure he got his last wish to die peacefully in my grandma’s arm. They provide exceptional care and provide invaluable insight and connections to physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health nursing and hospice. I cannot recommend The Addison of Moorehead enough. You absolutely will not regret picking this as a new home for the people you love most.

I recently needed a place to continue to recover after leaving hospital care and not feeling quite up to going home alone. This place had good reviews, could continue my o.t. and p.t. services and could give me a private room and bath. The staff there was very accomodating and even furnished a room for me. Though I was only there for about 4 weeks, the staff was friendly, managed my meds, and invited me to join their activities. The premises are clean, have a main dining room and gathering area as well as smaller spaces for doing puzles

We visited the Moorhead Place because we were looking for a place for our mother. She needs 24/7 care. The staff--Beth, Sherry, Alyesha met with us and were so very kind and informative. We loved the place...so clean, so welcoming and so very well maintained. We thought it would be perfect for Mom. However, after assessment, the staff indicated that she needed placed in a Memory Care Unit elsewhere since Moorehead Place does not have a Memory Care Unit. We were so sad. But the staff didn't stop there....they recommended a local place with a Memory Care Unit. Sherry even followed-up with us to see how we were doing. They just were all so very kind. We know individuals who live at Moorehead Place, and they love it. The care is fabulous, and as I said, the facility is just so clean and so welcoming. I told them when my husband and I are ready for a facility, we'll be back so save a room for us!

If you are searching for a clean, efficient and happy place for your loved one look no further! This is the best place in Indiana County. It’s attractively decorated, super clean and efficiently run by a very friendly and caring staff! Residents are encouraged to participate in the many fun social activities on a daily basis which really contributes to their overall well-being. I highly recommend you visit Moorehead Place!

As i don't have family by blood here i do have a wonderful Angel here. He seems to be happy and the staff seem nice. The place is small and appeared to organized and homely as it can be i guess. The daily activities are posted and i witnessed a volunteer that was having a prayer get together. She was very polite and the residents involved seem to really like her. I love the fact that this place is in a neighborhood. I say this because i would think while pulling in or walking out the residents would feel more like they are in an actual home setting and not a facility. I was happy to see the environment and it's location. More of a feeling of ease than dispare.
