As retirement community with assisted living available, I find the combination a successful enterprise for a continuum of older adult living needs. I appreciate the care and concern they give to my mother. She does not need to be in a nursing home but is not able to live independently. Living there enables her to participate in many activities that help to keep her mobile and engaged. I think they did a good job renovating the building for this purpose. Putting care before glamour, the building is attractive although some areas are more or less utilitarian. The cost for living there has gone up quite a bit in our three years there but is still considerably less than other facilities. The quality of the food is less than it was three years ago, but is still sufficient. I would recommend Glenmary and I hope my mother continues to feel nurtured by the staff and surrounded by friends for a very long time.
