We moved into the Huntington at Nashua over 2 years ago and are so happy we did. Like most people, we were concerned about whether we’d fit in and if we’d make friends. The answer to both is a resounding “YES”. Let me walk you through a typical Monday. Start the day with a leisurely stroll over to the Bistro for some oatmeal, a pastry and some friendly chat with whoever is around. Then comes “Move and Groove” a senior friendly exercise class where we dance and listen to great music. Before I know it I’ve gotten 3000 steps in. After lunch it’s Ping Pong club. None of us are very good but we have a great time laughing and teasing each other about our “Lucky” shots. Then it’s off to Art Class to indulge in some fun creativity. For dinner we may go to the formal dining room to enjoy a relaxing gourmet meal with friends followed by an evening of putting our feet up in our luxury apartment watching a movie on our wall mounted TV. The day we moved in maintenance came and installed our TV on the wall, connected everything up, no fuss, no hassle. That’s the way it is here at the Huntington. Lots to do, and everyone knows your name.

I have lived at the Huntington for over 2 years and have never regretted moving here. There are numerous activities every day. It’s like living on a cruise ship. Outstanding menus in the dining room and bistro, movies twice a week, field trips and an indoor pool with a jacuzzi.

The Huntington at Nashua is a wonderful retirement community of independent living and assisted living residents. It has 140 apartments, 18 cottages, 24 nursing care and 24 assisted living units. It has been totally refurbished during the last couple of years and is financially very, very strong. My wife and I have lived here for 3 years and nearly every facet of our high expectations have been met or exceeded. The vast majority of our 230 plus residents were and are very accomplished in their varied careers and are very accepting and welcoming. The 200 plus members of the staff are extraordinary and most residents consider other residents and all the staff to be one big extended family! I find that the whole very positive tone of The Huntington at Nashua is set by our Executive Director and by our Chief Executive Officer who are very professional, knowledgeable and caring. Each knows all the residents by name and they are very approachable. Things are not perfect at The Huntington but management certainly strives for perfection. The facilities are immaculate. The food is top notch and varied. We have "fine dining" which is like a fine restaurant with waiter / waitress service and cafeteria style food service. Both are excellent. There are activities galore and one cannot possibly do all the activities that are offered. A common statement made by residents here at The Huntington, is that living at The Huntington is like living on a luxury cruise ship but without the water. Many residents only have one regret about moving to The Huntington. They wished they had moved here SOONER! There is a reason why The Huntington at Nashua was recently named "Best of New Hampshire". The reason is because IT IS THE BEST IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

The Huntington is an exceptional Life Plan community. My mom has lived there for many years. I feel confident that she will be well taken care of by the excellent staff there whatever her needs are. My family liked the fact that there are independent living apartments and even cottages! And the assisted living and nursing wings provide exceptional care to the residents there. I really enjoy visiting my mom at the Huntington. I have made friends with many of the residents over the years. And I do have to say the food is pretty darn good! If you are considering a retirement community in Southern New Hampshire, you would do well to pick the Huntington!

The best decision I made! Moved in 2 years ago and haven’t regretted it once. The staff is caring, attentive and accommodating – always there to help. The residents are so friendly I feel like we are one big family. So many activities to keep your mind and body healthy and active. It’s a great place to live!
