MORNING POINTE HAS BEEN A GODSEND When our loved had a stroke, she lost her memory. She didn’t know where she was, and couldn’t remember us. We turned to Morning Pointe’s Memory Center for help. They admitted her, cared for her, and have kept her safe. They also gave us wise advice up front that helped all of us get through that difficult first month. The kind and caring staff know our loved one and address her by name. They have helped her recover by providing her with therapy, mental stimulation, and social opportunities. The wonderful physical therapy team now has her out of a wheelchair and walking again. The medical staff has carefully overseen her health and administered her necessary medications. Her room is lovely and well-kept, and her meals are provided. Their on-site management has carefully overseen and followed her progress. Thanks to their efforts, our loved one has experienced a significant recovery. We are so grateful. We can’t thank them enough. Fortunately, my wife and daughter had pre-shopped nearby assisted living and memory care facilities before this happened. Morning Pointe was their clear and unanimous choice and we placed a deposit with them. This made things so much easier when our emergency occurred. If you or your loved ones are aging, this step is certainly worth considering. Morning Pointe has both Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments at their attractive location. We recommend them highly. David B. Cox

My experience with Morning Pointe memory care thus far has been one of professionalism, compassion, and comfort in knowing that my Mom is well cared for and safe in her environment. The staff has shown a vast knowledge of the care and expertise needed to care for a dementia/Alzheimer’s client. They have provided a means of communication between family and staff to inform and comfort us regarding all aspects of Mom’s adjustment and transition to her new living space. Mom has expressed many compliments as well. She likes the interior decor, cleanliness, and the food. She is most pleased that her dirty laundry just magically reappears cleaned and folded. She appreciates the staff’s efforts in providing daily entertainment, physical and social activities. I spent months dreading the moment we would transition my Mom from her home to memory care. The staff at Morning Pointe were helpful in developing a plan to make the move. For the first several days they stayed in close communication with me regarding her status and even provided pictures of Mom participating in activities while smiling. The family was amazed at how well the transition process went. I would recommend Morning Pointe Memory Care as a solution for care of a family member struggling with independence and suffering from a decline in memory and cognitive function.

My mother has been a resident at Morning Pointe for nearly 2 years. Specifically, she stays at The Lantern memory care. I’m simply overjoyed that we had the great fortune to visit, and choose Morning Pointe for her living arrangements. Since day one of her residence there, the staff has been the most attentive to her needs that I can imagine. I have never been for a visit when I haven’t been met by the staff with a smile. She is nearly always busy when I arrive with one of the myriad of activities that are encouraged for the residents. The folks living there all seem genuinely happy to be in this environment. I know my mother is! The accommodations are wonderful, and her meals are excellent. The staff is great about communicating any specific needs she has, and does routine care plan visits to go over her general welfare. Knowing absolutely nothing about memory care prior to moving my mother in, I feel like I know much more now, and feel like Morning Pointe has these patients needs covered superbly! I would highly recommend!

My mom feels at home at The Lantern at MP. She loves the activities. They alway have something going on to keep their minds active and make the residents happy. It makes me so happy that she is there.

My mom moved into The Lantern at Morning Pointe in Knoxville at the beginning of Jan 2021. We were very nervous about this move for her but have been very happy and the transition was easier than we imagined even during Covid restrictions! The staff has been great from the initial point of contact when we were inquiring about what they offered to making moving her in so easy to the day to day contact now that she is living there! I highly recommend The Lantern if you have a loved one with Alzheimer’s that needs assisted living! They are very qualified to handle all the specifics of someone with Alzheimer’s! It gives us great piece of mind to know our mom is in such a great place!
