We moved my MIL in The Lodge at Natchez Trace in October 2024 after a stint in the hospital and rehab. Previously she was living alone. She asks us why we choose The Lodge at Natchez Trace and we tell here that we just knew. When you walk in it has a welcoming and cozy feel. The staff is really nice. They want to be there. You get to know the nurses, CNAs and the receptionists really well. You can check on your family member by talking to one of the receptionists, your family member's nurse or CNA. In fact they have become like our second family. On Christmas we took my MIL out to MY Mother's for Christmas dinner. Karen, one of the receptionists told me that my MIL wasn't acting right. Before we left I told MIL's nurse to please check for a UTI. My MIL has a history of getting them. When we brought her back I gave them an update on how she was behaving with us. They monitored her and checked for UTI. Sure enough she had one. We got it early so that we didn't have to take her to the hospital. They do have activities for the residents. My MIL loves playing bingo, going to the Bible studies and they even have churches come in. They always have a worship service on Sunday mornings right before lunch. They also take them on different outings. They will even take your loved one to doctors appointments if you can't. The staff at The Lodge want the family involved in their loved one's life and they want to a part of your loved one's life too. My MIL likes it. My husband and I love it!!

We recently moved my mom to The Lodge from another near by community. I was worried about moving Mom, but she has settled in so well and everyone - both staff and residents - have been so welcoming to us, making us feel right at home. Mom loves her studio apartment. It's so cozy and inviting, and she loves the food there! Also, we've been pleased with the care and therapy services mom has received. We love the smaller size of the community. I did alot of research and tours of other communities, and we landed in the right place for our needs. We are very happy at The Lodge!

As you can imagine, moving into an Assisted Living Facility is a difficult adjustment for the elderly. The care team at the Lodge aims to make it as seamless as possible. There are several levels of care to address resident’s needs. We needed a facility that offered round-the-clock nursing care that could address occasional medical needs. My MIL chose The Lodge for its location and pet policy…her cat lives with her at The Lodge. She has lived in Assisted Living at The Lodge for a year. Recently, staffing of the caregivers, nurses and bath techs has been a revolving door which can be unsettling and a few admin positions have changed, but there are many outstanding team members that are shining stars. Shout out to Connie (finance director), long-time member of admin team, who is a friendly and stable presence and is often seen visiting with residents in the lobby. Holly greets everyone with a smile at the desk, but she goes far beyond her receptionist duties! Holly drops in daily to see my MIL. Karen is the weekend receptionist and she is also a welcoming presence in the lobby. Pacer is the activity director extraordinaire who also goes beyond his job description in caring for residents and their families. Although my MIL doesn’t join in, there is always some activity going on for residents…bingo, musical guests, puzzles, happy hour, outings, chair yoga, and much more. My MIL makes use of the library room. Other shining stars are Demetria and Esther in Housekeeping who are friendly, supportive, long-time team members. The hair salon is my MIL’s favorite place to visit weekly. Maddie is so kind and helpful. There is currently an interim director, but we are hopeful a new director can be found who will work to solve the current staffing issues. Despite those issues, we are satisfied with our experience and the caring members of the staff!

My mother has been at the Lodge since 2021. She started in AL and then memory care. The team at the Lodge have been amazing during this time. They always go the extra mile to take care and be personable with the residents. The facility is nice and always clean. They treat the residents and family members with respect and dignity regardless of their cognitive ability. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for assistance with their loved ones. I would choose The Lodge again if I had to do it all over again.

My parents have been living at The Lodge for 6 months now. We have been very happy with the care and attention that they have received there. We especially love the balcony that looks out over the woods, it makes it feel like a home. The cat loves the balcony and the opportunity to do a little bird watching. The nursing staff is proactive about making sure that they are receiving the care they need. They communicate with the Blue Sky Housecalls who is onsite once a week and serves as their PCP to help get labs get taken and reported to the proper doctors. Med changes and med administration are handled efficiently. The onsite Physical Therapist is also super helpful and kind. The caregivers are compassionate and very helpful as we deal with daily changes of needs due to dementia. The facilities manager was very helpful when we moved in and has continued to be helpful when things need attention in the room. Food and activities are also worth writing about. Quality food is such an important aspect of quality of life, and they do a good job of providing tasty and healthy meals that are well prepared. The activities director has a great rapport with the residents and goes out of his way to make them feel comfortable and engaged with a variety of activities. This is not the only assisted living facility that they've lived in, so we have some other experiences for comparison. The Lodge provides equal (or better) care to what they received at more expensive facilities. I wanted to write this review to debunk some of the negative reviews that I've seen online. Of course, places like this are hard to staff, and there will be turnover and some disgruntled employees (and temps) who have bad days like everyone, but seems there was a change over in management right before we moved in and they've worked to address those issues. We've found the current staff and administration to be very responsive and helpful.
