The aides and Housekeeping are kind & friendly but the Director and medical staff are terrible! When he 1st moved in 3 years ago, the director, Mary, was excellent and took care of things. Three Directors later, and this place has gone down terribly. My husband is in Assisted Care so I pay a HEFTY monthly charge and he doesn't receive the care I am paying for. Today, when he fell and had open wounds on his knee and foot, they didn't even have bandages for it. This is NOT the 1st time this has happened. I can't blame the medical staff too much if they're not even given the supplies! Totally unacceptable! The corporate office should investigate what is going on here.

Manor at Market Square is definitely one of our community's "Hidden Gems". From our very first tour day, to the day I moved my grandmother's things out, The staff were nothing but amazing and helpful. My 97 year old grandmother lived in independent living there from the end of October until she passed, in March. I liked that if she would need personal care at any point, she could remain in the same room and not need to move again. She enjoyed the size of her private room and having a kitchenette with lots of storage. She had assistance, for a small fee, with the laundry, which was a blessing to me. The Executive Director, Carol Stephens even did her laundry herself one day when my grandmother got confused about the correct laundry day, just to make her feel less anxious. She was really cared for by staff, even as an independent resident. In her final days, the Resident Life Director, Stephanie Ziegler noticed changes with her while doing a daily wellness check, when my grandmother didn't leave her room. Stephanie facilitated getting a urine order sent and medication ordered with the doctor. Then a few weeks later, I inquired about hospice. By the next day, she was on hospice and receiving the care she needed. Fortunately and unfortunately, all of this happened on a Friday. I was unable to get her placed on personal care until Monday, so I had the opportunity to stay with her all weekend during her last few days, caring for her. Several staff members went above and beyond, providing me with meals and sitting with her while I left for 2 hours to take care of my family duties at home. By Monday, Stephanie coordinated with hospice, the doctors and the facility, and got her label as personal care. That gave me the peace to be able to leave for a night, knowing she would be well-cared-for while I got a few hours of sleep. My grandmother passed the next morning. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the facility and the people who work there. So many people exceeded my expectations from move in until move out. I highly recommend this community to anyone who is looking for a fantastic place to live.

My stay at Manor at Market Square was excellent. You were able to be independent while given exceptional care and service when, or if, needed. From Housekeeping, Laundry facilities, Nursing, Nursing aides, Dietary, Management, Receptionist, Maintenance, Transportation, Business Office, Activities (and forgive me if I forgot anything), all went over and beyond to be of assistance to you. The biggest mistake was me leaving there.

My father resided here for about 1 year before he died. I was a bit weary of the downtown location, but the building is very secure and safe. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Mary in management and Sharon in food services. My father mentioned he enjoyed the meals. The heat and air conditioning can be individually controlled for each resident's comfort. The small kitchen area in each unit is a nice added feature. The entire staff was very understanding during my father's illness. Thank you for everything.

Definitely not the experience I was hoping for. My mother is in the personal care program. There have been numerous times that she did not receive her medication on her scheduled time which is critical since she has Parkinson's disease. It sometimes takes up to an hour for an aide to answer a call bell. Many nights there is only one aide on a night shift to care for the residents. Shes been left in common areas because she was forgotten and she has to try to get back to her room by herself... shes in a wheelchair and has mobility issues. She has had her cellphone and cash taken from her apartment. Several clothing items have been lost and never returned. Unfortunately this facility is what she can afford so not many options out there. I have contacted the facility numerous times via voicemail and emails and only the head nurse has gotten back to me and that was after numerous requests. The facility director has never gotten back to me.
