Southeast Christian Church in Franklin, in our intentions to minister to Seniors, has committed to Maristone to provide a worship opportunity on Sundays, led by a team of teens and adults from our church. That has been, and continues to be, a real time of fellowship for the team and residents. Also, I have, for about 6 months so far, been leading a 1-hour Bible study late mornings every Wednesday. That has grown from 2 residents to an average of 9 to 11 residents participating each Wednesday. Over these past months the residents and I have truly become family and love each other, encourage each other, teach and learn from each other. In fact I get invited to stay every week and fellowship over lunch. The staff have been very encouraging and supportive. Cheerful, giving, loving, always wanting the best for everyone. A special thanks to Anne, the facility Activities Director, whose heart, initiative and passion has been there from the start. I am so encouraged and blessed more than I ever imagined. I’ve had the privilege of visiting Maristone of Franklin several times everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The director of nursing is very interactive with all residents and knows their needs. They have such a great team there.
