I recently visited this assisted living facility to inquire about placing my grandmother, and the experience was nothing short of upsetting. The woman in charge spoke to us in a way that felt dismissive and discriminatory. Instead of welcoming us or providing helpful information, she questioned whether my grandmother would “really” stay there, as if we weren’t deserving of a spot. Her tone made it seem like getting into the facility was some sort of privilege we had to prove ourselves worthy of, rather than a service we were simply trying to explore for my grandmother’s care. We left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Anyone seeking compassionate, professional care for their loved one deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and fairness—unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I hope management takes a serious look at how potential residents are being spoken to, because families in vulnerable situations should never be made to feel this way.

I broke my arm the day before thanksgiving. I was sent home from the hospital without care. Only some visits from home health aides. My background is a director of nursing at a facility in Bellevue. And many years as a charge nurse in a local facility. Because I realized I would not get better with one visit a week I called on my pcp to admit me to a skilled facility. My son reviewed all the local facilities and took me to the reserve. Knowing my background I was very skeptical. However I spent three weeks in physical therapy. I got one on one care. I cannot praise them enough. I elected to stay another four weeks on assisted living so I could continue my therapy. I live alone and couldn’t have cared for myself if I went home. After two months I did go home and continued my physical therapy as an out patient. Their care in physical therapy is individually structured to the patients needs. And your therapist stays with you the entire time assuring you are doing your exercises correctly. As an RN I want to say that facility excels in all aspects of care. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. You have a private bath, tv and phone. The food is like eating a a restaurant. You get to choose what you eat and there food is very tasty. They do a good job of having a lot of choices. Activities does a wonderful job with enjoyable thing to do during the day. The staff is very caring and there to meet your needs. Nurses are knowledgeable and keep on top of your plan of care to take care of you. And last but not least the facility is very clean. I could say more but to sum it up when I need care I will go to the reserve.

My 93 year old father was at the Reserve at Spring Hill for 3 weeks after breaking his femur for rehab. I can’t begin to tell what a good experience we had there!! The staff is amazing!! From the social worker to the nurses to the physical therapists to the cleaning and kitchen staff. My father was well taken care of and always treated with dignity and respect. The physical therapy was excellent and got him stronger than he has been in years. If you are ever in need of this type of care I can’t say enough to recommend this facility! Special thanks to Kelsey, Kyle and Emily!! You are the BEST!!

My husband went July 3rd from a 6 day stay at hospital. Went home July 17th. The nursing and physical therapy staff were amazing! The food was delicious. They have a great chef and kitchen staff. Room cleaned everyday. He had consistent care for his breathing problems and medicine needs. To get discharged he had to have a score of 85 from therapy. He made a 100! Nick, the director of therapy was so nice and knowledgeable.

I was a patient at Reserve for about 2 weeks. Most of the nurses were very nice and took care of me well. I had a problem with 4 nurses and 3 nurse assistants. Most problems was with the nursing staff in the evenings. I would push my call bell and since they don’t have intercoms in the rooms it requires the staff to have to physically come to your room to turn it off. I had major surgery performed on my knee where the pain was very severe. On 5 occasions I pushed the call button and waited over 2 hours with nobody coming to check on me or to give me my medication. 3 times I was able to get into my wheelchair and go to the nurses station where it was very dark and I could hear the pinging sounds at the station to let the nurse know that they were needed by a patient. I was shocked to see the nurse sitting there and to me she appeared to be sleeping. She jumped up and asked me why I was out of my bed. I told her that I was waiting for 2 hours and then I said what would have happened if it was a serious emergency and one of the elderly people were having a heart attack or something serious in those lines. She didn’t answer my question but insisted that she wasn’t sleeping but I could tell otherwise. And her assistant was in the sitting area doing something on the computer but also was ignoring the pinging of the call bells. I had an issue where my knee swelled up to 5 times it’s size. One of the nurses assistants said to me on 4 occasions that she would hate to see that I might have to get my leg amputated. That totally shocked me that she had the nerve to say that to me and to put that thought in my head. There were a lot of other things that had happened but I could probably keep typing for a half an hour with all my complaints that I had about Reserve. Like I said main complaint was that they were in no rush to assist you after after you pushed your call button. But again there were many great nurses there that responded immediately to your needs. All the nurses and staff were very respectful in the way that they spoke to you. They just need to have a supervisor there at night to keep everybody on the right path.
