The Residence At Silver Square

The staff at the Residence at Silver Square are caring, thoughtful, and attentive to both the needs of the residents and the immediate family. After having seen and experienced other residences, both near and far, Silver Square ranks number one in our opinion, and we waited long enough to have a broad and thorough perspective to review them with our honest, heartfelt assessment. Highly recommended!

After two back-to-back unplanned hospitalizations, we decided that it was no longer safe for our 88-year-old father to live alone and we started researching Assisted Living facilities in the Seacoast area. We visited four facilities and decided that the Residence at Silver Square in Dover was by far our top choice. We were very fortunate that an apartment was available. The transition was as smooth as one could expect for such a life-changing event. They have a bus that will take residents to errands and medical appointments. There are 6-7 different activities offered on site every day with other events scheduled in the community throughout the month. The chef-prepared meals are "exquisite" in my father's words. All the Directors and staff are incredibly kind and patient which is a great comfort for us but a special shout out to Pam L., Jessica J., Jessica H., Geraldine, Bonnie, Marlene and April for their care and concern for Dad and also our family. Having Dad as a resident at Silver Square has allowed us to have peace of mind that he is safe and well-cared for. I can't recommend Silver Square more highly!

My father moved to the Memory Care residence at Silver Square in March after having a pretty negative experience at his prior ALF. I have waited a couple of months to write a review as I wanted to see how my dad would settle in. I can now honestly say that I am so happy he is there!! The young women who provide the hands on care giving are so amazing! I love them. They are so kind to my dad and understand all his quirks that come from his dementia. They give him hugs and really make him feel special. His anxiety is noticeably much lower which has enabled him to start participating in activities again. And he is smiling more now! I received a note today that he went on a field trip and I actually cried when I read it. The nurses and senior staff are all very responsive to any questions I have. Basically everyone who interacts with my dad is helping him live his best life now. I highly recommend Silver Square!

Deciding on an assisted living placement for a loved one, especially your mother, is a difficult and emotional decision, to say the least. The following is a brief account of a recent tour of what I would say is an exceptional place...The Residence at Silver Square. Recently my mother, as well as my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director at The Residence at Silver Square during a tour of the facility. Jessica’s welcoming personality, as well as her creative ability to engage my mother immediately made all of us feel very comfortable. During our visit, we met several staff members who were equally as welcoming and engaging. From the woman who greeted us at the front door, to the chef and wait staff, each staff member we encountered made a point of acknowledging us and made my mother feel like she was more than a guest. She especially loved all the amenities that are offered, especially the art room, and is looking forward to becoming a resident in the near future. I would like to thank Jessica Johnson and the staff for making our visit such a pleasant experience.

I recently took a group of high school students to volunteer at Silver Square. We had such a great day with the residents. Not only was the facility amazing but, the staff helped to make it that much better. Everyone that our group interacted with from the front desk worker, to the cooks, to the maintenance manger, everyone was so kind to us.
