Watermark is attempting to increase the cost for care for a current resident by over 400X. Is this a fraudulent scheme? Is anyone else experiencing this at Watermark at Cherry Hills?

This used to be a great place for the residents and the staff. Sadly, it's now run by 20 somethings. It's like a fraternity house, Brooke, the ED began firing left and right in order to bring her friends in. The marketing Director is her best friend and the Marketing Assistant is that person's friend. And so on, and so on... There's inappropriate behavior in the kitchen between staff. There's never any engaging activities or events, as many residents have been telling me. These statements from residents are fully verified as there's no longer any FB posts showcasing activities and events. At least the care staff and med techs are there to really take care of them😢

We had to emergency move our parents to Albuquerque and we are SO thankful we found Watermark. We looked at several assisted living facilities and Watermark totally stood out. It is light and clean and has an extremely friendly staff! Mom and Dad have been there for a few months now and we are still so grateful. They get the extra care they need. If there have been issues they have been immediately addressed. Getting everyone set up on new internet is always a process but it was taken care of. The caregivers are NICE! I have had a ton of questions but Karen and Tina have been very helpful. I even know I can talk to Brooke, the head manager and she takes time to answer any questions. We also have enjoyed some of the activities (even though we don't live there haha). We went with my parents to the VLA lecture and look forward to the talk from an air traffic controller! Plus there will be a car show in a few weeks. My Dad said it's like being on a cruise. You have yummy food, entertainment, nice staff, and he feels safe. Thank you Watermark!!

My father has lived in the care of this facility for over 2 years now, and for less than a year in the Assisted living side. I will focus this review on Memory Care. I have had many very positive encounters with most of the staff and management. I am always contacted for any problems or significant changes and they work well the hospice provider as well. As his health and condition changes, we work together to meet his changing needs. The staff, although fluctuating frequently sometimes, is always kind and accommodating to me and my family. I really appreciate the level of genuine caring demonstrated for the residents. Understanding how challenging it is to keep up with all the different residents and their constantly changing individual needs, I would recommend this Memory Care facility to anyone. The food is usually very good also! I typically walk away from my 2-3 times per week visits feeling confident that he is in good hands.

My mom has been at The Watermark for 5 months. I just love the staff. They are friendly, helpful and caring. Everyone there addresses my mom by her name. My mom is not very social, she has participated in a few crafts and once for bingo. They offer a lot of activities, but my mom won't join in. I need to say that my mom doesn't like the food, she only goes to lunch and it takes over an hour for the meal to be ordered, served, eaten and waiting on the dessert cart. My mom has almost fully recovered from the fall and surgery that necessitated assisted living. She will be moving at the end of the month to an independent living apartment. If needed, I would bring my mom back to The Watermark.
