My father was a resident there for about 2 1/2 years before he passed. Thank you to the staff- Joni, Crystal, Christine, and others for their care and compassion during his stay. We appreciate you and what you had done.

My father was a resident at the Wynwood House for a little over 1.5 years before passing away this autumn. During his time there, the staff were very communicative with me about his condition and always made sure he received the care he needed. If I ordered him food, snacks, or things from Amazon they always made sure he received them. My father probably wasn't the easiest resident. Between his dementia and natural vibrant personality, he wasn't always the best at emotional regulation. Despite this, the staff worked hard to form bonds with him and encouraged him to socialize with other residents at meal times even when he didn't always want to. There were times when he was sent to the hospital back-to-back as his conditions flared up, which was stressful for both him and me, but both times this happened the staff at Wynwood helped me to get him onto hospice care which allowed him to receive the care he needed without leaving the facility. A few days before his passing, the staff called to let me know that he wasn't looking too well. They knew that I lived out of town and that it would require a trip if I wanted to see him again before he passed. Thankfully, I was able to make it in time to see him and even spend a couple days with him before he moved on. I'm so grateful for the warning the staff gave and that they kept him comfortable through his final hours. Thank you Joni, Crystal, and all the staff for taking such great care of my father. I'm forever grateful.

Visiting a dear friend at Wynwood House. We ate, talked, laughed and shared love. But….They need more activities for the folk who live there.
