!!!SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND COUNSELING!!!! Let me preface this with I have no clue how the drs are!! There’s not many places to review this health dept! Let me start with the front staff is top tier shout out to yall! HOWEVER if you are in substance abuse mainly or therapy and this is an option you’re considering let me be the first to tell you to RUN!! Run fast and far it’s a grueling experience with the woman who does the substance abuse truly comparable an avenging angel who truly enjoys punishing people for their shortcomings WHICH IS WEIRD I’d say I’m a rare but the non stop reports from surrounding mental and behavioral establishments have tons of documented reports stating the same thing of you want to be helped that isn’t the place to go this isn’t for those that have a simple fix of you can wait the 3 weeks it takes to MAYBE get a therapist kudos but for those of you that need it DONT GO HERE IT WILL NOT AID YOUR PROCESS OF HEALING IT WILL ONLY HINDER YOU. something tells me if you count the cases closed out from people not even attempting to come back with “D”. Long winded explanation but much needed. If I had found the reviews I wouldn’t have even attempted to go for help at this establishment. As for therapy I missed one appt after waiting weeks only to be charged $25 then the next two times I got a ride( I can’t) drive the therapist had to cancel but they didn’t cancel till time of appt and no reimbursement to me or the driver when they chose not to cancel having it documented I don’t have a way there not to mention she lost or quit her job and then the next one they hired straight said I’ve only been doing this a few days and I don’t have experience with XYZ mental health like that was supposed to make me trust the competency . Is true and total lack of care and empathy for those of you that want help I recommend calling your local courthouse and getting a list of certified providers through the state and researching them long before you give Lawrenceville behavioral and substance abuse program a second thought.

I travel from Mount Carmel to see my therapist here. I love her and she never makes me feel like a bother. She has helped me in many ways. Sometimes they can't get me in as quickly as theyd like but I know it's because they have an overwhelming influx of patients and not enough therapists to help everyone which is not their fault. They do their best and I am thankful I have the ability to go.
