1. Allowed resident to get pressure sores (resulting in ER visit & hospitalization) because the staff sleep all night instead of checking on residents patients. 2. No one will answer the phone after 5-6pm . No way to report that your loved one has fallen on is ill. You have to leave a voicemail that isn’t checked til morning most of the time. 3. They do not regularly put hearing aids on the charger at night & over half the time don’t put hearing aids in for residents leaving your loved one w/ minimal hearing which is proven to worsen dementia. 4. ER doctor as a mandatory reporter noted that patient had pressure sores and was severely sunburned from being left outside too long without supervision or sunscreen. 5. Rooms are not cleaned properly, they only take out trash regularly. Floors aren’t mopped properly or vacuumed & tiled areas are cracked & never mopped. 6. High touch items are not regularly sanitized. 7. Maintenance NEVER fixes anything. 8. Clothes go missing. Had 15 pair of brand new underwear when moved in & bought additional 6 pair later (resident currently has only 2 pair). 9. Purchased a mattress protector for bed but staff did not put it back on repeatedly & now the mattress is soiled & ruined. 10. The staff send a “nasty letter” when toiletries are low but they never replace lost clothing. 11. Many patients are given high doses of melatonin (they charge a big mark up) & Melatonin has been shown to increase heart failure in studies. 12. They give family member thyroid medication at breakfast (instead of on an empty stomach as REQUIRED’) we have repeatedly asked the to stop this.

In March 2025, we moved our 93 year old mom from FL to The Glen in Cumming. We were so nervous she would have a hard time adjusting and I can say with relief and a happy heart, not only has she been welcomed with open arms by the residents but by every single person that works at The Glen. The level of care and attention to everyone is more than I could’ve asked for. My mom fell a few months back and all I had to do is make one call…not only did the staff run to her rescue, they stayed with her until I got there along with the ambulance. They called me while she was in the ER to check on her, they also came by upon her return to give her a welcome home hug. The best decision I could have made for my mom at her age was to have her closer to us and at The Glen Vilas.

SO Happy to find a safe and beautiful villa for my parents. The people who work there are very busy but always smiling , caring and ready to help.

Just fired an individual from the kitchen for sexual harassment. The recent 40s health score. I'd highly recommend you look into another facility for your loved ones. They've turned off the reviews on their Facebook page because of so many negative reviews and comments.

My mother lived there for a year. She was treated with respect and made some very close friends. Love this place who made my mother feel at home.
