My family and I are so thankful that we found Vista Hermosa for our mother, Nancy. We had looked at several other memory care facilities in Santa Fe, and none seemed to have the type of caring atmosphere that we immediately noticed when we visited Vista Living Care’s two homes in town. Dementia is a tough disease for families, and the expertise, compassion, and care they showed at Vista Hermosa gave us peace of mind. We felt like Nancy was in the right place, with people who understood her needs and could keep her engaged and comfortable. Nancy especially enjoyed the outdoor space and animals, and I spent many Saturdays visiting with her under the big trees in the back yard. It felt like home to her, and the caregivers and other elders were like family. As a relative, I liked the relatively small size and family atmosphere of Vista Hermosa. I always felt welcome when I visited, and I could see that the caregivers get to know all the individual residents well. Staff turnover seemed to be very low, which I took as a good sign that the company creates a positive environment for the workers as well as the residents. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vista Hermosa to anyone, and I hope I am lucky enough to end up in a place like this if I ever need memory care.
