My experience at Waverly Inn was extraordinary, and I will be forever grateful for the care my husband received there. I have been through memory care with other family members, and nothing compares to this team. From the moment we arrived, I felt a sense of relief knowing he was somewhere he would be treated with genuine compassion, dignity, and respect. What stood out most was the consistency of the care. Every single staff member—not just some, but all—treated him with patience, kindness, and warmth. The building was always clean, calm, and welcoming, but more importantly, the people made it feel safe and humane during an otherwise devastating time. They went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary needs and took the time to prepare meals he truly enjoyed for as long as possible. Even small things mattered to them, and that meant everything to me. As his disease progressed and he entered the final stage, their care became even more meaningful. When he stopped eating and drinking, they did not pull away or become clinical. They stayed present. They treated him gently and with dignity every single day, making sure he was comfortable. They also supported me in ways I cannot fully put into words. Before Waverly Inn, I felt completely alone in managing my husband with younger-onset dementia (diagnosed before age 65). Because of Waverly, I will have fond memories of our final time together, and I was given the gift of peace. That is something I will carry with me forever. If you are searching for a place where your loved one will truly be cared for with dignity and compassion, this is it.

The Waverly Inn team could not have done a better job showing us around, helping us prepare my mom’s room, and welcoming her when she arrived. All questions were answered. The team was super friendly and made the whole process as smooth as possible. From the sales representative Karen, to Alex the facilities manager, to Lauren the property manager, everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. It seemed like the pictures were hung on the wall of my mom’s room before I set them down! And when my mom arrived, two of the residents who are “Ambassadors” were at the front door to greet her. How sweet. A++ grades for the whole gang who seem passionate about excellence.

My mother was a resident here at Waverly for over 5 years and received such extraordinary care. We never had a single concern with her quality of care. The staff all treated her like family and were so gracious. We were grateful for the care they gave my mother - she was honestly so happy here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Waverly Inn!

My Mom was at Waverly in Arlington Heights for 3.5 years. She could not have been taken care of any better than she was. Gisela and the entire staff were incredible to my Mom and to our family. They took care of her with such dignity even as she started to decline. We were so comfortable with her having Waverly Inn as her residence. The communication was terrific. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of that care.

Everyone at Waverly Inn, Arlington Heights was like a second family to us during my mom’s 22 month stay before the Lord called her home. Walking into Waverly was like walking into a home. The common areas and rooms are clean and decorated warmly with beautiful memorabilia reflecting the residents time era. The staff is amazing and is really what makes Waverly such a great place. From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted with a warm welcome which is carried on throughout the building. The entire staff has an “all hands-on deck” approach when caring for residents. Everyone is involved and is kind, caring, and patient. It is evident that all staff members care about each resident. They take the time to get to know each resident and their personalities and use that in their care approach to provide a comfortable and compassionate home environment for each resident. Dementia is a hard disease to navigate both as a patient and as a family member. But the compassion and love that was shown to my mom and our family by the nurses, CNA’s, reception, kitchen, activities, custodial, laundry, maintenance, administration, and hospice staff during this journey exceeded anything we could have ever hoped for. Thank you, Waverly! We love you!
