Wheelock Terrace

My step-father spent his final years at Wheelock. Especially towards the end he was not always the easiest to deal with, and yet required round the clock care. The Wheelock staff was wonderfully patient with him, and treated him with kindness and compassion, no matter what his mood was. I have a great deal of respect for this home.

I am a minister, and have visited Wheelock Terrace many times to visit and support members of our church family, and I am very familiar with the very high quality of caring and professionalism from all staff. From top administration to aides, there is a strong sense of teamwork and dedication to the residents and their families. When my mother needed to move to a memory care facility, it was easy for our family to choose Wheelock Terrace. She received superlative care.

My mother has lived at Wheelock Terrace for just over a year and I couldn't be happier! I know that not only is she well cared for and her needs are met, but most importantly she is loved and respected. As her needs have changed since she first moved in, the staff has done everything possible to make transitions easy and my mom feel comfortable. The level of communication from top administration to the nursing, activities and concierge staff is topnotch. I know my mom is kept busy with appropriate activities - even through all the COVID restrictions. I would highly highly recommend Wheelock Terrace to anyone looking for assisted living in the Upper Valley area, and especially to those looking for a memory care facility. It can't get better than the staff and facility at Wheelock Terrace.

It is bright, welcoming, and well maintained; it truly feels like a home. I've never heard one word from my mother about staff members who are anything but kind, respectful, friendly, patient, and caring - and there are several nurses and aides who truly go above and beyond for the residents. In the past year during the Covid pandemic the staff at Wheelock has been heroic, keeping spirits up and residents safe. My mother received a Covid-19 vaccine today and while I feel a great sense of relief, it only confirms my gratitude for the whole team at Wheelock.
