White Oaks at Heritage Woods of McHenry

Before I came here, I was at Riverside Residence and the woman in the room next to me was smoking. She kept denying it, and they couldn’t catch her in the act,, which is crazy! She kept smoking in her room! The administration acted like it was my fault. I was very glad to come here. I have a bigger room. The maintenance guts come very quickly. The CNA’s are very nice and helpful. At RR there was only 1 caregiver, no caregiver at night, and they charged for every little thing.

I have lived here for nearly 6 years. I’ve gotten wonderful care here. Three meals a day, a nice apartment, employees who care and they take care of laundry and cleaning. Many activities to choose from and most importantly I’ve made some great friendships.

Everyone at Heritage Woods McHenry has made it a wonderful transition into a supportive living facility for my dad; he is so happy here. Julie Komorous has been so helpful with all of the processes involved, and guided us every step of the way. I have peace of mind knowing that my dad has caring individuals watching for his best interests, and communicating with me as needed.

I would proudly like to say that Heritage Woods of McHenry has done an incredible job of empathy and care for my mother. She has been a resident, and it is approaching four years, and in that time, there have been so many moments where their help has been nothing short of amazing! The staff are caring, wonderful people! I would highly recommend Heritage Woods of McHenry for so many reasons! Overall, I would have to give him the highest rating, and I can see why they have won so many awards. My brother’s studio apartment at Heritage Woods was just adorable. The facility is in a very charming neighborhood. The building is attractive and well maintained. The dining room and the food were very good. The staff was so professional and attentive and sensitive to a person settling into assisted living. My brother was happy at Heritage Woods and I am eternally grateful to the staff who made this happen.
