WINDBER WOODS SENIOR LIVING & REHABILITATION CENTER

So it's been a couple of months since my family has been there due to my paps passing in this place. I just want to say wether it's a staff shortage or the staff are just useless because they did very crappy Job at taking care of him. So many things happened to him while he was in there, he was falling out of his bed all the time because no one was watching him, he got a bed sore big enough to put your thumb in it, he was wearing the same clothes for a whole week because they barely bathed him and he got a pretty bad case of scabies and then they said that they cured it but then some of my family ended up getting scabies because the last day that we were with him this place needs to be shut down what a miserable place to visit and live at. I feel bad for everybody who is in there because no one deserves this type of treatment and not to mention, a nurse walked up to us before and said to us. I've seen this multiple times. He's going to die in here. That is highly, highly uncalled for. To anybody who reads this please for the love of God, do not put your loved ones in here, And you're very lucky that we do not get you guys for neglect.

Wonderful staff. Most of the aides really care about the patients. Would recommend this for anyone needing rehabilitation or long term care for their family.

Very well pleased with the entire staff at Windber Woods. My dad was there for over two weeks and I have nothing negative to say about the care he received. They went above and beyond to help my dad with his recovery.

Dad was taken there to rehabilitation after covid. The people are great there. From getting him registered to all the care the gave him. The nurses and aides were great with him. True care givers! Physical therapyis great also. Keeps you updated on progress! Would definitely recommend ! Thanks to them for great experience!

Staff at Windber Woods is amazing. The nursing staff was excellent as they treated my father and myself with professionalism, kindness, compassion, and respect. Physical therapy was excellent. According to the state of Pennsylvania, staff should engage and encourage participation which entails more than just asking whether or not a resident would like to participate in physical therapy. Physical therapy altered, within limits, their scheduled based on my father's needs as they recognized his limitations. Administration is excellent at addressing concerns, as limited as they were, and solving the problem. At Winber Woods, the resident and the family came first. The facility is definitely service and care oriented and presented my family with a fantastic experience. The staff overcame challenges regarding my father's appetite and energy levels as well as my father's personality challenges. I completely recommend Windber Woods as I am pleased with the nursing, physical therapy, social service, dietary, administration and housekeeping along with maintenance disciplines.
