Homestead has been a wonderful place for my mom to live. The staff have been exceptional from the moment we moved her in. They offer a wide variety of activities that keep her engaged, and every time I visit, both the staff and residents are warm and welcoming. The facility is always incredibly clean, and I appreciate the thoughtful holiday decorations throughout the year. Knowing she is well cared for gives our family tremendous peace of mind.

This is a beautiful facility. There are some nice activities, especially the music for residents. My mother was so impressed how everyone on the staff knew her name and always greeter her by name.

My mom has been a resident at Homestead Assisted Living of Algona since July, and our family couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The staff is absolutely top notch — they are kind, attentive, and always put my mom’s needs first. It’s clear they truly care about the residents. We also appreciate the wide variety of activities offered, which keep everyone engaged and active. Homestead has been a wonderful place for my mom, and we’re so thankful for the amazing team there!

My mother has been a resident since July 2020. She was moved to the memory care in 2023 and is currently there. Every time I visit, the staff is so helpful and friendly. They have several activities for the residents. From bingo to making cookies, putting puzzles together and more. Plus Mom enjoys getting her hair done once a week in the hair salon located in the building. I enjoy the postings on Facebook of Mom since I live 300 miles away and can't see her everyday. What a plus for Algona. My home town! Keep up the great job!

Homestead Assisted Living was the answer to our prayers while looking for a new home for my elderly parents. Upon arrival of our first tour we were so impressed with the warm, homey atmosphere! They take special pride in beautifully decorating all areas of the facility for every season. It's immaculately clean! There is a huge beautiful dining area, a lovely sitting area with fireplace, a library, a bird room, a community kitchen, a courtyard with gazebo, and a hair salon. The team of Jessica, Brea, and Jill were so kind and thorough in answering any questions we had. The apartment we were shown was perfect! Spacious, warm colors, and windows with a beautiful view outside. My parents were hesitant to move until this visit. After we left that day, they were ready to start packing! We moved their own furnishings in and were able to decorate how they chose. My parents are now living at Homestead and loving it! My Dad needs extra care with showering, bathroom, and meds. Brea, the care coordinator goes out of her way to make sure each resident gets the extra care right for their situation. She is so thorough and truly cares for each residents needs, going above and beyond. Jessica, the director is always available to help in any way and truly wants the best atmosphere for the residents. Jill, the activities director has daily activities and organizes fun outings like shopping, concerts, seasonal tours. She is so in tune in creating activities the residents enjoy. Paul, the maintenance man is wonderful. He has driven my parents to Dr appts and been so helpful and kind to them. My parents get 3 wonderful meals a day, their laundry done, cleaning, meds distributed and personal care when needed. The entire staff of caretakers there are amazing and so kind. My parents love their new home!
