We are so thankful for the staff and services available for our mother at Winnwood. She has been there for almost 2 years and told me a few months ago, “it is perfect here; I am so glad to be here”. She isn’t the most active client, but her life is so much more enjoyable and our stress is so much lower since she arrived. (My brother and I live out of state.) She has ended up needing to go to ER a few times and Winnwood always facilitated it while getting in touch with us. Working with them to provide additional monitoring and care to help our mother’s transition back to her apt was smooth and convenient.

This place is just amazing. The people are so nice. They remember you. They are so sweet to the tenants. My dad was only here a short time but they made a great impression. There are many activities too, he would have stayed real busy and enjoyed it so much. My only regret is we didn't do this sooner. If you are reading this far and on the fence, do it. Now. We waited and I wish we hadn't.

My mother had a fantastic experience during her stay at Winnwood Assisted Living. From the moment we arrived, she felt safe and comfortable, which gave our family tremendous peace of mind. The staff is incredibly loving and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure residents are well cared for. There were plenty of activities for her to enjoy, from shopping trips to bingo nights, which kept her social and engaged. The property itself is beautifully maintained—the landscaping makes it feel warm, welcoming, and serene. I especially want to recognize the nursing staff and the assistant director, who were both extremely attentive and responsive to my mother’s needs. Their kindness and professionalism made all the difference. I highly recommend Winnwood to any family looking for a safe, active, and caring community for their loved ones.

Before even giving a review, I’ll say, and stress, as a caregiver, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! While Winnwood is a nice facility here in Marietta, GA, like most companies, staffing could use some retraining. It’s not enough to shine when families are looking to place their loved ones, it’s important to keep up that momentum to retain them. Our experience at Winnwood started strong, then care of our father took a downturn. A considerable amount of money is spent for senior living services ($$$$) and as a family member, you shouldn’t feel the need to do laundry and purchase meals from an outside service. The paperwork for entrance is extensive. Then to have to remind staff about meals we didn’t choose, making sure medications are being taken, and just keeping an eye out if you see a resident isn’t eating meals. If you have a resident that’s diabetic, and they’re not eating meals, that’s going to affect their behavior. Not being funny, but no one is delightful, if they’re hungry. If you see something, say something. A little care to mention so that maybe something can be changed is not a lot to ask for. We never asked for anything extraordinary, just treat our loved one as you’d like yours treated. We didn’t have the best experience, but it is my hope the facility takes these comments into consideration and does better going forward.

We had a loved one live here for about 6 months. The staff is exceptionally nice and very friendly with the residents. The facility is nice with activities. The food in dining was liked and they encourage residents to join the dining room, but they may also request to eat in their rooms. They noticed that our loved one had a stroke twice and called the Ambulance to take him to the hospital. Jessica who handles medicine management did a fantastic job of keeping up that. The only reason we moved out was because our loved one ended up needing "Memory Care" after multiple strokes. Move In and Out was easy. We were surprised by a $1K charge for new carpeting on our exit when it wasn't new when we moved in. They said they deducted the previous clients months in there, but $1000 still seems high for a small studio. (The carpet was ruined by our loved-one's incontinence). Despite this last minute surprise, I would still have a loved one stay again if the need arises. The care and facility were above our expectations. We were sorry to have to move to another facility for Memory Care.
