Artis Senior Living of Lexington

Barbara had lived at home for 9 years before needing a memory care facility. She entered Artis of Lexington memory care facility four-and one-half years ago. It was a great decision. Barbara’s caregivers were personable, caring and dedicated to her comfort, safety, and joy of life. The staff at Artis provided superb care for both of us and I do not believe that Barbara would have lived as long or without anxiety without Artis. Their management, nursing staff, and caregivers were helpful often and in many ways. A top-notch organization. They cared well for Barbara until her passing late this fall.

My husband is receiving very caring and respectful services at Artis. Kayleigh. who runs the programs is doing an excellent job and truly seems to enjoy her work with the residents. The nursing staff especially Kristi and Michaela are top notch. I could never replicate at home the kind of daily stimulating programs and care that he receives. I am able to bring him home on the weekends and his weeks are full with adult focused activities. For us this is working so well. Thank you Artis!

It’s difficult to single out one person, since there are many Artis associates who do a great job. If I have to single out one person, it will be Woman in the Lexington neighborhood. She is always available to help me and Joe in many ways to numerous to mention. I know she takes good care of Joe, especially when I am not there. If I ask her to help me in any way, she is right there for me. She truly is the best!!!

Ive been extremely satisfied with my experience at artis of lexington. my husband was a resident for over 4 years. his condition steadily declined during this time period. the staff were able to adjust to his changing needs. they were very caring and grew very fond of him. he never complained to me and seemed to be happy to be there. the environment was very good especially the outdoor areas. the staff and management was very responsive to me and all of my concerns. i highly recommend artis for those who have dementia especially if they are younger in age.

Until she passed in early Nov 2024, my mom was the resident who had been at Artis of Lexington the longest -- almost 4 years! She has always received excellent care. I love how the building is one floor and the floor plan is circular so that residents can walk without getting lost. It is clean and well decorated. I love how there is also an enclosed circular walk outside for the residents, along with a garden where the residents plant flowers and herbs in during the Spring/Summer months. Orlando the chef has been there with us from the get-go, and he is fantastic! The food is healthy and delicious. In the warmer months, they host BBQs outside for the residents. When Pedro is working the front desk, you will be welcomed with a warm greeting and smile. Nicole has worked with us for 3 years, and she has been instrumental in providing information, caring support and encouragement; she runs an important monthly family support group that I, and many others, enjoyed attending. This is one of the only assisted living places that has 24-hr nursing on site; the nursing team is professional and responsive -- many of them respectfully checked in especially during her last days. Jonathan is the Executive Director and he is quick to respond to my calls and emails. You will often find employees walking around and interacting with the residents. Artis of Lexington is a positive, safe community, and I am so glad my mom spent almost 4 years there!
