Artis Senior Living of Reading

I have two family members starting to get memory issues and did not know what to do. I heard of Artis and contacted them. I promptly received a call and a meeting was set up. I was very impressed with the facility, staff and overall excellent customer service. All our questions were answered and I left the meeting feeling much more knowledgable about next steps. I highly recommend Artis.

Artis is such a warm community of very special caregivers. Walking into the reception area, where there is always a yummy treat displayed next to the coffee and water, creates a homey and welcoming atmosphere for family and friends who are visiting their loved ones. Being greeted with a big smile from Keith always makes me happy. Keith never hesitates to take the extra steps to make me and my family members feel appreciated and welcome. Thank you Keith!

My mother was in another memory care in the area. We moved Mom to Artis in November of 2019. She loved it here. We were pleased with the facility. When my Mom became terminal they worked with us to allow her to live out her final days here. During those last days everyone was amazing in offering support in any way they could to myself, my family and my mother. Many took the time to come in and see her in her last days, which was very kind of them. I wish we had moved her here when they first opened. Artis is dedicated to memory care and it is clear with the design of the building. The staff is given information sheets on each resident and they read them and use that to engage the residents. I loved that about Artis.

When faced with the decision to place our family member in a facility, we experienced anxiety, guilt, loss. I have no doubt that I made the best decision for my sister when I placed her at Artis. The plan was to move her into my home, yet we quickly realized that she needed professional care giving, stimulation, a community of people, monitoring, a safe environment which we simply were not equipped to provide. We made the right decision to place her in Artis Reading. The managers, caregivers, nurses, concierge staff, chefs, food preparation staff, maintenance staff give their residents and family members their utmost best. A phenomenal home for those with dementia/alzheimers.

My ninety-seven year old mother has been a resident at Artis of Reading for over a year. It was the best decision we made for her. My mother and her family are always treated with respect. The facility is beautiful, but what makes the place so special is the staff. My mother is living a fuller, more meaningful life now that she is at Artis.
