Avita of Needham

Despite how difficult this journey has been with our mom and dad as their memory has declined, they are comfortable at Carriage House@ Lee's Farm. They have acclimated to Avita and love the staff, activities and the setting in beautiful Wayland is lovely and serene. Lots of outdoor space to sit and visit with family and friends which has always been important to mom and dad. Thank you !

My mother lived at Avita for 5 years before passing in 2022. She had lived at a another assisted living facility that had moved her to the memory care unit and it was a terrible transition. My brothers and I made the decision to move Mom to Avita,. This was the best decision we made for Mom's care. The transition from her other memory care to Avita was seemless. Mom's adjustment was smooth, as the loving caretakers made her feel welcome. The neighborhood set up at Avita makes it easier to make friends, and then come together for larger entertainment. And entertainment was incredible. I have videos of my mom dancing at many events, and I look at these now with such fondness. The staff and caretakers at Avita really care about your loved ones, but also about you as their family. I highly recommend Avita.

Students from my school have been having wonderful experiences volunteering at Avita of Needham for many years now. The community is vibrant, active, and eager to engage with young people. The staff are welcoming and provide structured activities that our volunteers can participate in -- creating a fun, energizing context to build meaningful relationships between the generations.

To say that she loves this home is an understatement. We appreciate everything that the staff does to maintain a beautiful environment for all residents. This is not the "nursing home" of your past experiences. This is a beautifully designed space meant to make you and your resident feel at home. The set up into 4 neighborhoods is brilliant. If you are on the fence, take a visit, learn the culture, see the hearts of the people working here. The staff is great and the people are so kind. A stand out is Jazz, she is the coordinator of activities and the warmest heart and person you could ever meet! Our resident is very, very, very, happy here and we never thought she would leave her home after 94 years.

Moving my mom to Avita of Needham was a great choice for our family. She is closer to me so I and her grandkids get to see her more often. Everyone on the staff has been wonderful to my mom. They are warm, engaging and so kind. Recently, Kevin went above and beyond by not only receiving new furniture I had ordered for mom but putting it together, moving it in and moving the old furniture out. Thank you to everyone on the staff for taking care of my mom and keeping her safe.
