I cannot say enough good things about The Duxbury House. From the moment my aunt and uncle walked in, they felt at home and we felt such an incredible sense of comfort. The staff is incredibly compassionate, well-trained, and welcoming, from Deb the receptionist to Mary the Facility Manager. They all know each resident by name and treat them with the utmost patience, respect and dignity. The facility is clean, secure and designed as a home environment, which is so comforting for the residents and families. When visiting, we enjoy meals, activities and watch the big screen tv in the living room. It's like home. It's a family. There are so many daily activities to keep the residents engaged, active and their social skills met. I highly recommend The Duxbury House to any family looking for compassionate, expert memory care.

Our dear sister, Annie Donovan, was the first resident at the Duxbury House where she spent the last four years of her life. We could not have hoped for anything better for Annie. The staff treated her with such love and respect and their care was first rate. The facility is immaculate and the food is restaurant quality. The residents are busy and entertained throughout the day by both the staff and volunteers. Moving your loved one into memory care is a difficult decision and an emotional process. Duxbury House worked with us every step of the way to ensure our sister’s needs and well-being were always in the forefront. The Donovan family is forever grateful to all the loving, caring people who made Annie’s final adventure so special. Not only is the space thoughtfully designed and decorated in a soothing palette, but what sets this community above the others is the compassionate care provided by each staff member. My mom spent the last year and a half of her life at Duxbury House and I can honestly say I can't imagine her receiving better care anywhere. It's not just the physical space, which is perfectly planned out and beautifully decorated, but the feel of Duxbury House, its character, its comfort, its pervasive joy. This is largely due to the remarkable staff. No matter the assigned role, their care is compassionate and patient and their attentiveness to each resident is sincere and gentle. The range of activities is amazing, as is the staff's ability to encourage participation, and the opportunity for socializing is ever-present. It's where my mom made her last friends in life. She was a lucky woman and my family and I will be forever grateful.

My parents' move to Duxbury House has been a godsend for them and our family. The staff are wonderful - caring, loving, good-humored and attentive, and they are really attuned to working with those with dementia. The living areas, both private and communal are welcoming and beautiful, and there are many different activities on offer for residents to choose among from day to day. The food is very good and always beautifully prepared and presented. There is also a very welcoming atmosphere toward family members. Knowing that Mom and Dad are being cared for 24/7 by such wonderful people is a huge relief for us. Thanks to everyone at Duxbury House!
