I have loved living at Cokesbury since 2018. I could think of living here as the 4 F’s. Friends: I have made so many good friends. Fun: parties, trips, concerts, movies each week. Fulfillment: painting class, book group, lectures, and various committees Freedom: no worries about house maintenance and knowing I always be taken care of here.

I recently visited this community and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the behavior of an employee at the front gate. I found the individual to be highly aggressive and disrespectful, which created a negative atmosphere right from the start. Instead of feeling welcomed, I was met with a condescending tone and an unprofessional attitude that was not only off-putting but also surprising given the reputation of the facility. It was disappointing to see such behavior, as first impressions are crucial in any service industry. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and address the issue to ensure that future visitors do not have a similar experience. While the facility itself may have positive attributes, effective customer service starts at the entrance, and it’s essential that all employees represent the values of the organization.

Good community and activities. Dining room situation doesn't foster sociability because you have to make a reservation (you used to be able to walk in and see someone and join their table). Maintenance schedule is inconsistent. Onsite medical is handy but not thorough - have a backup. Grounds are very pretty as is main building.

After a career in Long Term Care I know the challenges of aging for the individuals and their families. We chose life care at Cokesbury Village after many visits and much research. We enjoy the warmth of this community and the security of knowing our aging challenges will be met here with the same kindness and quality of service we have experienced in independent living without dealing with the crippling costs long long term care purchased ala carte or burdening our adult children. Moving and downsizing is never easy but we are glad we did. We have only experienced kindness from all the staff here and growing friendships with fellow residents both younger and older than us. We have found the surrounding community full of delightful activities and a variety of on site entertainment and activities right here.

Diamond State Concert Band,of which I am a member, plays a concert here every year. The audience of residents really enjoy our music and their response is great. Recent renovations at Cokesbury Village are absolutely beautiful. The staff are so kind and helpful!
