Great place - i feel so comfortable working out at this facility. It seems like every other place I've been on the Cape has sort of a weird gym etiquette. This one does not it's very well done thank you.

Whatever you do —do NOT join the Woodlands Wellness Center. You cannot book pool times with any level of ease. The reservation system changes frequently and the staff is not open to hearing feedback from paid members on the difficulty of making reservation. (And any organization that has old, soiled carpet installed in their pool is not maintaining any semblance of health standards. They also send emails frequently regarding members not showering and the inability to stabilize chlorine levels (!!!!)) I was told I had no right to question my membership after all if this. But they were VERY quick to remind me my membership fees were non-refundable. I see from other reviews that this is an ongoing problem and their staff and Director have no regard or any care when we voice concerns. I can't imagine how feedback would be received if I had a mother in their care -- the Director, Celeste Fox specializes in gaslighting and dismissing concerns of any kind.

They have a ridiculous on-line registration system for the pool that opens at midnight three days in advance and fills up in an hour or so. This forces members who swim each day to wake every night at midnight to try to get in. many requests to change the start time for booking have fallen on deaf ears.

This is not a welcoming place. My Mother was there for a respite and thank goodness is now happily settled into another assisted living that is a much better fit.

My mother did not want to move out of her home of 50 years but was unable to care for herself and live safely on her own. Even before the actual move into her nice little apartment at The Woodlands she had changed her mind and realized that it was for the best. The Woodlands at Pleasant Bay was the only place of the three we looked at that asked about her, what she likes to do, her physical condition, etc. This spoke volumes to us about the people who would be providing her care. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. The facilities are clean and the food is enjoyable.
