The staff here is so good to my mother. They check on her many times a day to make sure she gets to meals on time. Mom is not real crazy about the food but understands it is hard to please everyone all the time. She can pick and choose what she wants to eat and if she wants just a sandwich the staff complies. They have started outside visits and it is SO GREAT to see mom face to face. We just call and set up an appointment. Hooray for Brookdale.

Our mother has never been an “easy to please” person. So, when we chose to move her to Brookdale, we were concerned. To our surprise, she adjusted very well to living there. She became acquainted with other residents and was gifted with new friends! The staff was so friendly and helped her to feel very comfortable. Ashley, especially, has accommodated “us” by answering our countless questions! Brookdale El Camino is definitely an attractive and pleasant home for our mother. We would not hesitate to recommend this community to anyone searching for senior living for a loved one. ~Gary and Mary

It has been a year since mom came to Brookdale El Camino. There have been many positives through this experience, even in spite of the Covid-19 restrictions. Although frustrating for all, the staff at Brookdale have kept the residents safe. They have tried to provide all forms of interaction possible with the pandemic constraints. The food is brought to their rooms, the staff have tried to interact with the residents as much as possible. They have started doing some "in door" exercising and bingo and this is helping the morale of the residents. They are also providing sign up times to meet with the resident under the gazebo in the back for 30 minute visits (up to two people and six feet apart). This has been so nice. The rooms are kept clean and even a few upgrades during this past year have occurred in mom's room, including a new air conditioning/heating unit, a new window blind and shampooing of the carpet. There has been excellent communications from the Director, Janella. Ashley Marshall, even though originally introduced us to the place, remains involved in the residents' lives and families as well. The front desk staff, including Andrea, Crystal, Ava and more are friendly and cheerful at all times, and I have appreciated the care my mom has received here at Brookdale El Camino. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of a facility for their loved one. It has been a very positive experience for us.

My aunt only lived at Brookdale for a very short time, but the staff there were very attentive, friendly, and loving to her. The residents just raved about how much they loved living there! The staff goes the extra mile to make the residents feel a part of a family.

It's a great place to live if you require much assistance. I lived there for 2 years before moving out as I required Less and less assistance. But be a bit wary. The efficiency Of the support staff has decreased in past 4 months due To several veterans leaving. And replaced by less experienced Persons. Also carefully monitor your bills and statements. Very often I was charged with incorrect figures. And with this Operation my experience is that is extremely difficult to get Them corrected. Please reread that last sentence.
