Standish Village at Lower Mills

Moving my dad into Standish Village was one of the best decisions we ever made. From the moment I first called for information, the staff's warmth and genuine kindness made me feel at ease. They took the time to understand my dad's needs and preferences, ensuring every detail was perfect. The level of care and attention provided was truly exceptional. What stood out the most was the compassion and patience shown by the entire team especially the director, Arielle. She treated my dad with the utmost respect and dignity, making him feel valued and at home and she consistently went above and beyond to support our entire family during the move. The vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere, with plenty of activities and social events, has given us peace of mind knowing he is in good hands. I highly recommend Standish Village to anyone looking for a caring and supportive senior living community.

Standish Village is an amazing place with wonderful, caring staff. When my mom could no longer live on her own, we moved her into Standish Village so she could be close by and have a community of her own. From the very first conversations with Arielle, who helped us choose an apartment, we knew it was the right place. Jessi, the Resident Care Director is always attentive, communicates often and and made my mom feel at home instantly. When my mom needed to go to the ER and I was away on vacation, Katie, also in nursing, reassured me and kept me updated. Nina, in the business office, is always lovely and helpful. Everyone from the front desk staff such as Peggy, to the dining room staff, maintenance (Mike) and recreation/activities (Brian and Kathy) took excellent care of my mom and made us feel like family. I cannot begin to name all the aides, but they, including Sivitri, Marie, Ruth, Anna and others were all kind and caring. My mom referred to them all as her friends. When you cannot be with your loved ones every moment, at Standish Village, you'll know that they are not only safe, but appreciated. Although my mother only lived here for 16 months, when she passed away at 92 after a beautiful, long life, everyone at Standish grieved with me. That is a true community, and I am grateful to know them.

I am grateful to all the hardworking folks at Standish Village who have created such a wonderful community right in Lower Mills. My mother moved into the assisted living side about 5 weeks ago. Her quality of life has improved dramatically since then. I feel so comforted and relieved knowing that my mother is not only safe and comfortable, but thriving and enjoying every single day. My mother keeps calling to share all of the fun experiences she is having and new people she is meeting. At this point, I have met and interacted with quite a few Standish Village employees during my visits to see my mother. Every single person has been kind and welcoming. It is clear Standish Village values all of its employees, which is reflected in how supportive and fun the atmosphere is for the residents. The location in Lower Mills is also a major feature with its nice shops and restaurants, and great options for outdoor walks. We feel lucky to have this place so closeby!

My mother spent the last 10 months of her long life at Standish Village. She received excellent care from the caring and attentive staff. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the food is excellent. Standish has lots of activities for residents that clearly have great participation, though my mom was a bit too unwell to take advantage of many of them. Nonetheless, she loved her studio apartment and had forged good relationships with caregivers and other residents. We definitely felt we made the right choice with Standish, and appreciate everything they did to make her final months as happy as possible.

Standish Village is a wonderful facility staffed by friendly, caring people. My aunt is in the memory care unit and it is the best place she can be. I can't say enough good things about Lynda and Anna who care for her and encourage her and make sure she is safe and happy. Julie, Jessi, Katy and Joe always keep me informed, sending me texts and pictures or calling if need be. I don't know all of the staff, but everyone I have met or have had contact with are truly caring individuals. The building is clean and attractive and well maintained by Mike who was a big help during the move. The food is excellent and varied and there are always many activities going on. My aunt did not want to leave her home but is now happy and comfortable at Standish and I am confident she is safe and cared for.
