UPDATE 3/10/2025: My mother has been living at Sugar Hill Assisted Living for over 16 months now, and she continues to be very happy there. The smaller size of the residence makes it less confusing, and the Executive Director, Cam, along with the entire staff, has always been and continues to be incredibly attentive to her needs. Their kindness and care give me great peace of mind, and I highly recommend Sugar Hill for anyone looking for a warm and supportive assisted living community. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Sugar Hill Assisted Living has been a haven of comfort and care for my mother, and I couldn't be more grateful. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the staff at Sugar Hill made us feel like family. The team here is nothing short of exceptional. From the warm reception to the diligent nurses and aides, the dedicated food staff led by skillful chefs, the engaging activities, and the diligent cleaning and maintenance crew, every aspect of Sugar Hill operates with a commitment to excellence. What truly sets Sugar Hill apart is the genuine warmth and compassion exhibited by every member of the team. It's evident that they genuinely care about the well-being and happiness of the residents. My mother, who was initially hesitant about transitioning to assisted living, now feels right at home thanks to the welcoming atmosphere cultivated by the staff. I must highlight a few individuals who have gone above and beyond to ensure my mother's comfort and happiness. Cam has been instrumental in facilitating a smooth transition, while Mardi operates as the Command Center with her finger on the pulse of daily activities. Nurse Becky, along with the CNAs and aides, ensures that my mother's medical needs are met with the utmost attention and care. Even the maintenance director, whose name escapes me, setup my mother's living space to her liking. The mansion's architecture exudes charm, and the grounds are nothing short of picturesque, creating a serene environment for residents to call home. As a family member, I am deeply grateful and less stressed knowing that my mother is in the hands of such capable and compassionate professionals. My mother echoes my sentiments, expressing how cozy and homelike she finds her surroundings at Sugar Hill. In conclusion, Sugar Hill Assisted Living is not just a facility; it's a community built on genuine care, compassion, and dedication to enriching the lives of its residents. I can’t recommend Sugar Hill enough! Moving a parent into assisted living can be emotional, but their Executive Director, Cam, and staff were so supportive, genuine and compassionate. Mom loves it there. Being smaller allows for personalization - from both a service and relationship perspective. From the nurses to culinary staff to cleaning staff, they know and interact with mom! So blessed to have mom at Sugar Hill.

My mother is very happy at Sugar Hill. The whole staff is fantastic! Examples: We were getting into the elevator the other day and a nice young male employee greeted my mother by name. Another day, we were sitting in her room and someone knocked and told her there was going to be a concert at 1:30. Today, the cleaning woman said hello. If she doesn't go to a meal, they come up and make sure she's okay. She does like the food but isn't always hungry. She loves being in the "mansion" and marvels at the detailed workmanship in the bannisters and trim work. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, very peaceful setting. If she could walk well enough, Sugar Hill actually borders The Boulders - a Berkshire Natural Resources property with miles of trails. But mostly, I am very impressed with the staff. Cam and Mardy are the best! Wonderful people, very well run facility. And finally, she's at a place she likes which is tough when you've had to give up your home, but this place feels like home to her.

The facility and staff @ Sugar Hill Assisted Living is A-One!! My aunt is there as a cognitive impaired patient and they are good to her, aware of her daily needs and wants. Times have been difficult during Covid, but they made her feel comfortable & safe as well as keeping me up to date with her care. Daytime aides are the BEST! I can only say positive things about this place!! The building, grounds, & views are a spectacular bonus too! I would highly recommend Sugar Hill to any family looking for the best care for their loved one’s!!

This facility and the staff @ Sugar Hill Assisted Living is top notch!! My mother was there for quite sometime as a dementia patient and they were so good to her and my family. Times have been very difficult during Covid, but they made her feel comfortable & safe as well as keeping my family up to date with her care. I can’t say enough positive things about this place!! The building, grounds, & views are a spectacular bonus too! I would highly recommend Sugar Hill to any family looking for the best care for their loved one’s!!
