I cannot say enough good things about The Arbors at Chicopee. Firstly, most people who work there seem to love their job; lots of smiles and happy faces. Very welcoming, warm and engaging living facility.. we knew this was a place for Mom when we met the director of sales and marketing. She is the outside face of the facility and when you meet her, you know she represents what The Arbors is all about. The Care Assistants doing an outstanding job at caring for the residents. It is obvious that they enjoy working with the elderly, using humor, tact and patience. And they work hard. It is obvious that a lot goes into planning meals. There’s always a variety of options available at each sitting. And the meals are excellent. Just the right portion size. I highly recommend this facility as a place for your loved one or yourself. It’s coziness and warmth. Makes you feel at home almost instantly. I know my mom is cared for which makes all the difference in the world.

I have been visiting a friend here in Reflections, the memory care unit, for quite a few months. One of the residents just now was confused and scared. The woman working here was so wonderful. She reassured the lady that everything would be ok and if she needed help she could rely on her. Everyone who works here is equally as caring. My friend had been in a few nursing homes before coming here. At the last one they would get her up and put her in a wheelchair and she was on her own. At The Arbors there is always something to do. They have crafts, cooking demonstrations, Catholic mass. It gladdens my heart that she is able to be here. One of the ladies who works here, Jolanta, is Polish so she speaks to my friend in Polish and it has really helped in making her feel welcome.

Moving our mom into The Arbors was an emotional experience for us, but the professional Staff (Sondra & Allyson) made the transition so much easier. They patiently answered all our questions, helped us handle the paperwork, and gave us a thorough tour of the facility. The level of care our mom receives has been outstanding—staff members are always attentive, respectful. The facility itself feels clean, safe, and welcoming, with apartments and social spaces that mom can easily get around in. Our mom enjoys taking part in activities like arts and crafts, movie nights, and bingo of course (her favorite). The meals options are fantastic, like going to a restaurant, ordering off a menu. The staff are great about accommodating her preferences. We have seen how the daily activities have helped her stay socially engaged and make new friends, and our regular family visits have only strengthened our relationship. We can now visit and not feel stressed about the what ifs. You take care of every detail with so important! The supportive environment and care have truly improved her quality of life. We wholeheartedly recommend this facility to any family seeking compassionate senior care for their loved ones.

Earlier this year, we moved our mom to the Arbors at Chicopee. It's never an easy decision to make, but from the first conversation, everyone at the Arbors welcomed us and made our mom feel right at home. We had a lot of questions, and the staff helped us navigate them all with professionalism and warmth. I personally love all of the activities offered, truly bringing everyone together in the community. Recently, my son graduated from college, and my mom was unable to physically attend. She was very upset to miss being there. The Arbors was incredible and helped me create a "watch party" for her and the other residents the day of his graduation. It meant the world to her and to me. We would highly recommend the Arbors family to help take care of yours!

Having to put a loved one in assisted living is one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make; choosing Arbors Assisted Living was easy. Mom has Alzheimer’s and was doing well in her home with daily visits. Home was the one place she remembered. We were managing caring for her needs the best we could and then one day that changed. She needed more care after an injury with hospitalization and a rehab stay. Knowing the reputation of The Arbors made the decision to contact them easy. The Arbors is a private, family-owned business that we can tell values the care and reputation that serves its residents, and it shows. Having an apartment available in the Reflections Memory Unit (10 apartments, 12 residents) was a sign that this was meant to be. Allyson was our first point of contact and from that point on everyone we have encountered has been 5*. One can see that the staff members here are not just hired, they are chosen and trained to high standards. The staff began knowing our mom before she arrived and all of that made the process that much easier. We have been guided and welcomed through this whole process and couldn’t feel better with our decision. We had thought of keeping mom in her home and finding 24/7 care but realizing the stress of scheduling and trusting those care providers was beyond what we were capable of. Not to mention the expense could have been double. The Arbors takes care of all that-meals, laundry, activities and top-notch care. In the reflections unit it is not uncommon to see a staff member hold a resident's hand or sit by them; there is much love felt here. Mom has adjusted well and although she may at times mention home, we see all that it has done for her. Rehab had diminished her and now she is once again thriving; interacting with other residents and daily activities have brought her back to life. The facility is beautiful and well cared for and residents feel respected and honored like elders should. The Arbors staff always put their residents' needs first and they are all known by name; newcomers are welcomed into their family. The care, love and compassion given by the staff is felt and it is everything we had hoped for. We are so thankful to have a great place for mom where she is safe and well cared for. She can continue to live rather than exist for the rest of her life and we can continue to live our lives as well. Being able to visit her rather than just care for her is priceless.
