My mom has been here for four years. It has been an excellent experience. I want to shout out to Holly, who we couldn’t live without! Mary who is a gem of a human and Kenny who is kind, funny, engaging and has made a huge difference to this branch. I’m grateful for all of them and many staff members. With aging parents, they make it much easier all around.

I could not say enough great things about our experience with the Branches of Framingham! Based on my experience with other family members and friends, I was very skeptical about finding something affordable for my mother. Living with me out of state wasn’t an option and she wanted to be near local family and friends. When they told me the price of living there I was incredulous- you couldn’t possibly get an apartment in the Boston area for rent, utilities, and three cooked meals a day PLUS staff for what this place charges. The facility is only five years old and everything is fresh and clean and does NOT have a hospital/nursing home feel, vibe and most importantly, smell. I have been in other such facilities that looked clean enough, but just smelled low key horrible and felt depressing. The Branches is like being in a nice hotel. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly and I like that the facility is on the smaller side. They know everyone by name but within days of her moving in, they knew not only my mom’s name but who I was when I called from out of state and my daughter when she called from out of the country. When the staff finally met my daughter in person, they came from around the desk to hug her like they were old friends. There are a wide variety of activities and programs and spiritual and intellectual pursuits to keep the residents engaged all day long, which you can participate in as you choose. There are fun things like by-weekly happy hour and ice cream socials. They walk the fine line to make everyone feel included, and if you didn’t know about an activity, there are friendly reminders to join in so that nobody feels overlooked and isolated, but also give residents space to do their own thing without pressure. It’s like being on a land cruise. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, with high ceilings and natural light. The bathrooms are really nice, spacious and safe with plenty of grab bars. They go out of their way to stress that this is your house now and you can decorate it how you like. The biggest thing that sticks out in my mind, however, is the way that the staff went truly ABOVE AND BEYOND when my mother was nearing the end of her life. She absolutely loved her time at The Branches and was very happy and felt well cared for and most importantly, we felt very reassured that she was being taken care of in our absence. When a recent hospital stay led to being released back to The Branches on hospice, I flew in from out of town. Before I got there the staff lovingly and carefully moved all of my mother’s things to a different, bigger room and set them up as they were so that I could stay with her until she passed. This completely blew me away and exceeded ANY expectation or even hope I might have had. I had literally brought a camping mat with me, thinking I would be on her floor. Instead, I was able to rest in comfort. They took care of BOTH of us with such kindness and compassion. I didn’t lack for anything as the staff checked in on both of us frequently, and they fed me and made sure that I had access to the chaplain while they took care of my mother like she was their own. They truly went out of their way to make this the easiest possible transition for us both, and when she passed and I was escorting her body to the hearse, the entire staff and residents lined up in a final, dignified act of compassion and respect. I have been to many retirement/nursing home/care facilities, and often you see staff that are on their phones nonstop and barely interacting with residents. The staff at the Branches are all incredibly friendly and helpful. They ALL knew who I was, by name, and they knew who my mother was. Being there felt like being part of an extended family, working together on the common goal of caring for our loved ones and making their golden years comfortable, happy, safe and fun. I could not recommend the Branches of Framingham more highly and would be happy to personally speak to anyone who wants more information or details.

We couldn’t be happier as a family to see our Mom thriving at The Branches. She has made many new friends and enjoys the many activities offered. All of the staff are so nice. They treat everyone with dignity! I highly recommend The Branches to anyone searching for a place for your loved one to call home.

We moved our mom to The Branches in September, and as an adult child, making the decision about where your parent should live when they can no longer live independently is incredibly difficult. It’s emotional, overwhelming, and filled with uncertainty. From the very beginning, The Branches has given our family peace of mind. Initially, the proximity was what made it seem like the right choice, but we have since learned it offers so much more than convenience. The staff could not be kinder or more attentive. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring toward the residents. If anything needs attention — even something minor like a broken toilet seat — they respond quickly and take care of it right away. That level of responsiveness means a great deal to us. There are plenty of activities available, and while participation is never forced, residents are always encouraged and warmly welcomed when they choose to join in. It strikes a perfect balance between independence and engagement. We are truly grateful and very happy with our experience at The Branches. It has been a wonderful place for our mom, and that brings our family tremendous comfort.

I would like to share my family’s deep satisfaction with choosing The Branches of Framingham assisted living residence for my father’s changing care needs, his comfort, and his overall safety, throughout his aging journey. I set out to research several assisted living facilities in the same area, but my first visit and impression of The Branches of Framingham won my ultimate attention. From the moment I walked into the front entrance, I was seeking to just grab a brochure, but I met the exceptional greeter Holly at the front desk, who welcomed me with such kind and warm energy, and soon after I was already having my initial sit-down with Lindie, who explained how The Branches of Framingham’s customized and flexible care plans work, and she answered all of my questions. Lindie also gave me a tour of the modern, clean and attractive living facility right away. My experience corresponding with Lindie left such a lasting impression with me, that my family and I knew The Branches was the place for my father to live, and one year later, The Branches team proved that we still made the right choice. I can’t express more how pleased my family, my father and I are with all of the Harbor Memory Care staff including the Director of the Harbor team, Connie, for her continued support and guidance as my father’s care needs evolved, and with the team of skilled and kind nurses, all of the incredibly compassionate care aids, the fun activity planners, operations staff, kitchen staff, dining staff, and cleaners-basically the entire staff everyday helping my father. You all provide such a warm environment with wonderful patience, kindness, care, and with positive energy too! My father eventually became so well adjusted, and over time became complacent and happy in his new home. My father would regularly express how much he appreciates all the great care and help he receives from everyone every day. We are all very happy. Thank you all so much!
