The Gables of Fitchburg

Our mother moved into the Gables on December 1. Patricia Peterson and the staff have gone above and beyond to make sure that her transition went smoothly for both my mother and family. The facility is immaculate, the food is delicious, and the activities are engaging. Everyone is helpful… Tom, and so kind. Having our mother living here provides us with a peace of mind!

My mother’s move to The Gables has been a truly positive experience. Everyone has been welcoming, kind and very accommodating. Moving from her own home to assisted living was a huge decision; the entire staff at The Gables has made the transition much easier. Knowing that she is surrounded by such a competent and caring staff is reassuring to our family. While still fairly independent, we know our mother can count on a friendly helping hand when needed. We would highly recommend The Gables to any family seeking a safe and comfortable community for their loved one. Special thanks to Patty, Tom, Tracey, Beth and the entire staff for going above and beyond to make our Mom feel at home.

I recently helped a family member move to The Gables, and I am so pleased with the entire process. Every staff member has been friendly, kind, and patient with her (and me!) The apartment was clean and spacious. Move-in was seamless and all staff helpful regarding meals, medication, and other details. Staff is available onsite 24/7 and each resident wears a pendant call button. The common areas are beautifully furnished and spotless - a large lobby and adjoining common living room, dining room, a modern cafe, craft room, movie room, library, and common areas on each floor leave nothing to be desired. There are also loads of activities to satisfy every person’s interest! The Gables seems to have it all.

We are new to the Gables. From the first conversation over the phone, we felt that this was going to be the best place for my mother in law. The tour was impressive and full of laughter. The staff is so friendly from Patty to the nurses and the that all provide compassionate care to everyone…even visitors. The process beginning to end was streamlined and easy. There was guidance every step of the way. Communication is the key as we enjoyed a smooth transition. The apartment is bright and airy and comfortable. The food is great and the activities and entertainment are endless. Affordable and compassionate care allows our family to sleep well at night knowing my mother in law is in wonderful hands. We moved our aunt to the Gables last month and it has been a great choice for her! All of the staff are so welcoming and attentive to her needs. They helped make the transition easier for her. She is eating so much better these days, loves the food and has been enjoying the many activities that they have to offer. Her apartment is spacious and kept clean. She has met some old and new friends while there and is enjoying their company so much. Thank you to everyone at the Gables!!
