We recently toured The Landing at Laurel Lake while exploring assisted living options for our parents, and our experience was very positive. Matt Pinto, the Executive Director, was thoughtful and approachable. His knowledge of complex situations and his strategic planning insight were impressive. He clearly understands how emotional and nuanced these decisions can be. What also stood out was the professionalism of Rachel, the Head Nurse, and Pam, the Community Relations Director. Together they provided a comprehensive tour of the facility; which was spotless, and welcoming- and offered clear, practical advice on what can be a complicated and emotional process. Their responsiveness and willingness to answer questions thoroughly gave us true confidence. During our visit, we had the opportunity to speak with other residents and family members who were openly praising the care their loved ones were receiving. Hearing firsthand how well spouses and parents were being supported further reinforced the strong reputation of this community. Impressed by the compassion, responsiveness, and professionalism of the team at The Landing at Laurel Lake, it is clearly a community that takes both care and communication seriously. Lee has always been home base. It is reassuring to know such a high-quality option is right here in our community.

Recently, while looking for places that could provide an assisted living experience for my father, we stumbled across The Landing at Laurel Lake. My father was adamant that he did not need to move and was fine alone at home. We took him on a tour of the Landing and another facility. He was so impressed with the Landing that he called me a few days later to say that he thought he'd like to move there! I am a person that works on my 'gut instinct'. Upon visiting the facilities and talking to many other facilities, I just 'felt' that this was the right place for my dad. The office staff went WAY out of their way to help with our transition and to support me, personally. They have shown nothing but respect and kindness to my dad. Additionally, I was told that the Landing is set up to have a family feel for all. I was hesitant about this statement but just in the short amount of time my dad has been there, I can see that this really is true! The staff are accommodating, work hard, and (even though this is one of the hardest industries to be in) always have a warm and happy demeanor toward the residents and their families. Another group of people at the Landing that are amazing and work very hard is the maintenance staff. Upon moving in we needed their help with some things and they were always there, immediately, with a willingness to help. The people that run the activities are great at what they do and being sure to include the residents that might not get involved on their own and the kitchen staff and chef are amazing in the meals that they make! Overall, I couldn't ask for a better place for my dad and I would be proud to recommend the Landing to anyone finding themselves in the position I found myself in looking for quality care for a beloved parent.

Thank you for hiring Matt Pinto! he has made a world of difference in our families experience at The Landing at Laurel Lake. Since he has been in the directors position the there are far less issues overall. The staff has always been helpful and kind to our parents, but our confidence in the facilities ability to care of issues has increased two fold. We just had a major financial issue and Matt's diligence is helping solve the problem was greatly appreciated. While deciding to move our parents into any facility was heartbreaking, the staff continues to make us feel that our father is being cared for and respected as part of the Landing community.

Our experience with the Assisted Living facility at the Landing at Laurel Lake has been nothing but five stars from the start! Matt Pinto, the executive director, was in our town in Upstate NY for his own family function and took the time to meet my 89 yr old mom, my husband and myself. His genuine concern and desire to assess my mom in person showed us how much he cares about the people that become a part of the Landing community. It's been almost 4 months now and my mom is thriving at the Landing. The entire staff has welcomed my mom with open arms. Pam (Community Relations Director) was excellent with our tour, made the admissions process seamless and even gave my mom a wonderful welcome gift when we moved her in. Rachel (Director of Nursing) & Cherie have taken the time to answer my calls and follow up promptly with any medical concerns. CJ (the Activities Director), keeps my mom and all the residents busy and active. The CNAs, receptionists, dining attendants treat my mom like she's family. My mom's recovery from her stroke this spring has truly been a journey. My siblings and I are so grateful that we found a second home for our mom at the Landing at Laurel Lake and are blessed to continue to make more memories with her thanks to the wonderful care she has received ❤️
