Toured memory care unit. Residents are kept in one small area while awake. Eat and activities at same tables although I observed no activities. Staff grouped together no interaction noted. Residents were disheveled looked lost. Rooms size should be one person but two are jammed in one dresser showed only one room it was dark and cluttered. No music even. I wouldn't put even someone I didn't like here.

The Wellington only seems to get doing duties when somebody is around. I think my dad sleeps in his clothes on top of his made bed. Shower stall always dry. No order to room cleaning protocol. My dad shouldn’t have to smell urine all day. Just get it done, for others noses😊. Questionable about former dietary space in dining room , door shut, blinds down. , was told this is where rec therepy is ?, what with former arts and craft room is now a lunch room for the employees packed. All I needed was a sharpy to mark Richards new shoes with his initials. Give these clients in the memory unit more help by stimulation , not just there to pass away. Clean their room , they can’t. ! I see no empathy shown. It’s obvious there is a problem , and I don’t like seeing the clients feel the repercussions from it.

We have been at the Wellington at Springfield now for a month and we love it. Emma Burke was very instrumental getting our paperwork done and seeing to It that we were comfortable in our new place. The Residents are very friendly and welcoming. The meals are well cooked and delicious. All in all we are pleased with our new place. The Staff are wonderful and very helpful. We rate this place a 5 star. The residents and staff are like family, very warm and caring. Patrick O’Connell & Cecile Crawford

My aunt and I came to visit the independent building at the Wellington. The place was very nice and I loved that the apartment were spacious and came with all the appliances she needed. Residents and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Emma was so nice, she gave my aunt a nice reusable grocery bag after we toured the place. Never regret choosing this as home for my aunt. Great place for your loved one!

My mom and I came in to tour the Wellington after touring several other community. There was a great difference in the atmosphere. The residents were so friendly and welcoming made us feel right at home. The lady Emma, who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable, but what stuck out was she knew all the residents by name and you can tell she had a great relationship with them also. She was very personable with my mom and made a great impression on her(which is not easy to do), Thumbs up. The facility was well kept and I loved that the apartment had a nice size kitchen. My mom is looking forward to moving in, in January.
