Transitioning a loved one from their home into a care facility is emotionally challenging. From first contact with Steph, we felt at ease with our choice and comfortable with our decision. We liked that Whitney Place offers a respite stay on a temporary basis to see if this setting fits our loved one’s needs. We also know that as she progresses in age and her health needs change, we can access the other facilities on the Westborough campus to meet her needs. It’s terrible getting old. We are fortunate that we have the resources to provide our loved one with high quality care at Whitney Place as she transitions into her final stage of life. It’s hard getting old, and even harder watching someone you love get old. The people at Whitney know this and help you get through it. The nursing staff is very hands on. Over the past two months, our loved one’s day-to-day care needs have changed. The compassion, kindness, and honesty from the nursing team is so appreciated. They’re walking us through all of the medical challenges even when we are frustrated and sad making sure the appropriate care plan is in place (they are able to adjust quickly to meet the changing needs of our loved one). And there are no words to describe the love the PCAs (personal care aids) have for all of the residents. Not only do we know what they do for our loved one, but it’s evident how much they do for every resident on the floor. It’s nice to know these ladies are in charge of executing the care plan because they are special people who truly care. Oh, and the food is very good. Haven’t had a single complaint about the choices. Seems to have lots of variety. I don’t know how the staff at Whitney Place do what they do. It’s nice knowing that our loved one is safe and getting the care she needs.

We are so incredibly grateful for the warm welcome our family received when Cecelia arrived at Whitney Place in early September. From the very first day, the staff made her feel at home with genuine kindness, compassion, and care. The transition to assisted living can be challenging, but the team at Whitney Place made it smooth and comforting—not just for Cecelia, but for all of us. It’s been such a joy to see her truly thrive in this wonderful community. She's made new friends, enjoys the activities, and feels supported and valued every day. It gives us such peace of mind knowing she is in such a positive, nurturing environment. Thank you to everyone at Whitney Place for the incredible work you do and for treating Cecelia like family. Your dedication makes all the difference.

I have been a resident at Whitney Place assisted-living for two weeks and I have found it to be a wonderful environment for me and my needs. All staff members are empathetic, helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. They are here to do all they can to make you comfortable and to be sure that you’re happy in your surroundings. I cannot stress enough that Whitney Place makes sure that you are cared for, in a healthy environment and most of all safe. I am very, very happy living here and I look forward to many good years here at Whitney Place.

Whitney Place is a wonderful community that truly cares for their residents and their families. The facility is very clean. The daily activities are geared toward each resident. The staff, nurses, and PCAs are absolutely wonderful. They care about the people who are living there and provide support to the families. They’re always available and willing to talk to family members. I couldn’t recommend Whitney Place more!

There is a very strong sense of community at Whitney Place. The Staff are caring and attentive. I say this as the daughter of two parents who have resided there for several years. Mom and Dad engage in daily exercise classes, weekly painting groups, balance and core strengthening, baking, spiritual, and outdoor activities. They have formed friendships and enjoy the cookouts and entertainers. It’s such a comfort to know that they are safe and receiving the assistance needed for personal care, physical therapy, dining, maintenance, and medication administration. The staff and executive directors are always available to provide non judgmental listening, support, and guidance. The information and support that I’ve received as a family member is truly outstanding! With so many choices out there for Assisted Living facilities, the decision can be overwhelming. We chose Whitney Place because of the continuum of care. The campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Short-term Rehabilitation, Long-term Care, Hospice, and Palliative Care. My parents can safely remain in the Salmon Healthcare Community to accommodate all of their life stages and medical needs in a beautiful facility. Go see for yourself!
